| Simply Brilliant
This classic has finally been given it's due with the sacd surround sound format. A few notes into "Overture" and you'll know you have been paid back the money invested for your equipment and this disc. This is simply a brilliant disc to have and hear. Hopefully "Quadraphenia" or "Who's Next is not far behind

| How can a 35 year album get better
Simple Mix it into 5.1 surround sound. Here is a good advert for recording in analogue. The whole album takes on a new lease of life in Hi Rez surround. Acoustic guitars in the room with you. The Whole album appears on one disc in 5.1 MLP (96/24) and Dolby 5.1 along with two stereo tracks again one in 96/24 taken from the original 1st generation stereo mix tapes. With songs like Pinball Wizard, See Me Feel Me, et all this is a great album. disc two provides a plethora of outtakes again mixed in 5.1 and stereo, along with some Pete Townshend demo's stereo only. and a 30 minute video interview with Pete Townshend explaining how it was all done. a comprehensive almost perfect two disc package.

| The best TOMMY ever
I have been a Tommy fan for a number of years and thought my SACD version was the best until I heard this DVD-A version. Suddenly the acoustic guitar was literally in the room with me. The voices were even clearer than the SACD. On top of the additional clarity and the on-screen lyrics, you get a very cool interview with Pete Townshend who explains how he remastered the 8 track tapes into 5.1...this alone merits the purchase of this disc. Don't wait, this is truly the best this recording has ever sounded!
