Listening to THE SPIRITUAL is an experience akin to reading Ishmael Reed's vividly ironic lampoon of Western culture, MUMBO JUMBO. Recorded at Polydor Studios, Paris, France on June 26, 1969. Includes liner notes by John Litweiler.
