Looking Forward Looking Back album
$9.59 Initial pressings of GREATEST HITS VOLUME 2 included a bonus CD.
"It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Country Song. The song was also nominated for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals.
Anyone who earns a second volume of GREATEST HITS has obviously learned a thing or two about staying power and consistency of artistic vision. Such is the case with Alan Jackson, who appeared in the 1990s as mainstream country's alternative to the dominance of King Garth. His sound was still eminently accessible, but the faux-Springsteen drama of Kiss fan Garth's rock manque ...
| | Johnny Cash American Recordings CD (1994) Reissue
Looking Forward Looking Back CD music
$6.75 AMERICAN RECORDINGS won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album.
Johnny Cash is back and better than ever. The legendary Man In Black is now recording for a modern rock label, and is being produced by hard-core rap/rock guru Rick Rubin--and the results are startling. Spare and stripped to the bone, AMERICAN RECORDINGS is Johnny Cash at his artistic zenith.
An original acoustic ballad, the opening ...
| | Chad Mitchell Blowin' In The Wind CD (1962)
Looking Forward Looking Back music CDs
$13.85 After two consecutive live albums, the Mitchell Trio returned to the studio for their next collection of folk tunes. After losing the battle with Peter, Paul & Mary to issue Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" as a single, the best Kapp Records could manage was to repackage subsequent issues of the In Action album as Blowin' in the Wind to capitalize on the monstrously successful song (record labels continued to have In Action printed on them as the album title). It's easy to see why PP&M's version was chosen; it is much more passionate than the Mitchell Trio's, which is taken at a faster pace, highlighted by a folk banjo.
The album starts off with a rousing bluegrass ...
| | Toby Keith How Do You Like Me Now?! CD (1999)
Looking Forward Looking Back songs
$12.59 Toby Keith is a "stealth" country star: you don't see him on magazine covers or chatting with Jay Leno, yet he's still managed to score an impressive string of hits. But those fans that are clued in to Keith's music will love this, his debut for DreamWorks Nashville. Like his previous albums, it showcases Keith's smooth, powerful ...

Looking Forward Looking Back music CDs
$14.79 My name is Jason Tobin, founder of the Rock group THE DOG GODS. The idea for a band was born on a hot july night in New Orleans in 1977. The compositions on this CD were written long ago. The material was first recorded on a Radio Shack radio/cassette recorder and recorded on to two cassette tapes using only an acoustic guitar and some humming to take the place of real vocals. At that point, the tapes were put away in an attic for all eternity. In the year 2001 (by chance) I walked into a museum in Black Mountain, N.C. and happened upon a photograph of a boy (cover) taken in 1920. I was struck by the image and wondered who he was, what he was looking at and what had become of him. I later found ...
| | Collin Raye I Think About You CD (1995)
Looking Forward Looking Back songs
$6.09 I THINK ABOUT YOU is definitive, radio-ready American country music: slick and sentimental, with a strong Texas tenor at the helm and some of Nashville's best songwriters backing him up. Collin Raye follows up the chart-topping success of his hits "Love, Me," and "In This Life," with this latest effort, a collection of catchy tunes, but with a catch--Raye sings songs that are about much more than broken romance and honky-tonk nights.
"I Think About You" is a perfect example of Raye's commitment to sing about real, gut-level issues, and the emotions they bring out. These are songs that he says he "wants to be the kind people feel are their own." And there's probably not a young father in the world who can't identify with the title track, in which Raye surveys the unsavory, abuse-filled lives of certain modern women, and worries about the fate of his own eight-year-old daughter.
Musically, Raye plays ...

| | Andrew Dennen Open My Lips CD (2008)
Looking Forward Looking Back CD music
$16.45 Andrew has been writing and performing music for over thirty years. He draws his inspiration from both the hard-driving, secular rhythms of musicians like the Beatles and Yes, to the lyrical beauty found in the music of Debbie Friedman, Dan Nichols, and a host of others who have made their marks in the burgeoning world of Jewish music. For almost half a decade, Andrew has been the lead musician and songleader at a Northern Lake County Congregation. Under the guidance of the Rabbi, his talents have grown and flourished. As one congregant puts it, "If the Rabbi is our spirit, Andrew ...
