5 stars This album was my 'introduction' to Andrae Crouch...
...we had just returned from visiting relatives in Kansas...Dad had this album playing, and I thought, 'wow..this is some WILD Gospel music (Dad had only listened to more traditional stuff-James Cleveland, Shirley Caesar, etc), but I was so deeply touched as a child of 12 years old by Andrae and his music. It was so heavily Anointed (and still is!) and being raise COGIC (Strick COGIC too!) this was one artist my Parents would take us to see in Saint Louis at the old Kiel Auditorium which was a treat EVERY TIME to hear Andrae Crouch & The Disciples sing!

If you need some strength in your life because of trials or whatever life has delt you. please listen to this album it will make you feel so peaceful inside. the best gospel album ever....

This is a great album I can remember listening to it and feeling God's presence. I would recommend this album to anyone who desires to get closer to God.

Donny Hathaway's third solo studio album, EXTENSION OF A MAN, followed the soul singer's lauded 1972 collaboration with vocalist Roberta Flack. Rather than scaling back his ambitions and playing it safe after that highly successful duet record, Hathaway opted to widen the scope of his eclectic sound even more, opening EXTENSION with the ambitious, lushly orchestral "I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry (Parts I & II)." Of course, it doesn't take long for the husky-voiced Hathaway, also a talented songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, to mix things up, as he eases into tracks ranging from folk-tinged soul ("Someday We'll All Be Free") to romantic R&B ("Love, Love, Love") to driving funk ("Come Little Children," "The Slums"). Sadly, this would be Hathaway's last full-length outing before his depression-related suicide in '79. While EXTENSION OF A MAN hints at what could have been an even more illustrious musical career, it also stands as an enduring testament to Hathaway's remarkable legacy.
