Stuart picked up his first guitar at age 10....it stuck. He paid his dues performing solo and in bands in spots all over San Antonio. Stuart began writing songs when he was in high school. In his words it "gave me a great way to talk to girls". About this same time, his perspective on music changed almost overnight. He was sitting at a friend's house when he heard Emmylou Harris for the first time.
