Chase Your Dreams!Born in New Orleans, LG or Lyte Gem, became a rapper at the age of 14. He practiced by rapping other Rappers from "OG's (Rappers over 23) to rappers his own age.LG sings and raps about true life experiences the pain of life and the choices one has to make to chase and reach your dreams. The thing that really sets LG apart from the other rappers is his free-style does not include swearing. This really is unheard of in a place like New Orleans.
LG has a knack of storytelling. He composes his stories from his heart and in his head and just raps or sings them spontaneously. If someone gives him a topic to rap, he just does it---right then and NOW. He has a talent beyond belief. He not only does this for rap, but does this for various types of music. LG was 16 when he joined his first group, "The Hooligans". There were three other members in the group. The group recorded a couple of tracks in a studio, but the tracks were never released. "The Hooligans" broke up ten months later.
This was LG's first time to record in a studio. He was used to free-styling in various neighborhoods. His first producer, Elmo P.
, mentored him and taught him how to master both crafts. The experience with "The Hooligans" and learning the new style got LG hooked and gave him more incentive to chase his dreams. LG was back to being a solo artist again! Hum-Brah!Next, LG joined the Platinum Label Records Group, which was a much larger group. He learned the fundamentals of the business side of music and the importance of entertaining an audience. Audiences love it when he does one of his spontaneous raps. He really gets them going. He gives credit to Mr. Charles "Immanuel" Vein, who once was a member of the group," IDEAL", for helping him.

In search of success, LG moved to North Carolina to put together an album with his Uncle. Once again, things did not work out the way he hoped. He did, however, meet a HOT lady, who later became his wife and he wrote a "Fire" Song that would eventually be used on his compilation album.
After meeting his woman, he traveled on to New Bern, NC, and this is where he finally recorded his first album with the help of Don Mega from Steel Toe Productions. With limited resources, he found a silent partner to duplicate the CDs and create the finished product. LG still did not give up with that. He worked the next couple of years to put together the current release, "Still Standing". With a new wife and family, he had a driving desire to reach his dreams, and let everyone learn what kind of great artists he has become.
