Chased music CDs
$10.65 Loudness was a Japanese hard rock quartet that had numerous hit albums in the 80's and early 90's. Thunder In The East reached number 74 on the Billboard charts in 1985. Wounded Bird. 2003.
With 1985's Thunder in the East, Loudness were faced with the daunting challenge of conquering heavy metal fans outside their homeland of Japan for the first time. Knowing that their early sound might prove a tad too heavy and complex for American audiences, the foursome rose to the occasion by dispensing their most melodic compositions ever. Yet, except ...

$6.75 Also available in a 3-pack with BRITISH STEEL and POINT OF ENTRY.
In the early '80s, a new musical movement, dubbed "The New Wave of British Metal," swept across England. The conspirators include such heavy bands as Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Saxon, and Def Leppard, but Judas Priest is often credited as the originator and leader of the pack. Rob Halford's vocal histrionics and the dual guitar attack of K.K. Downing and Glen Tipton mesmerized metal-heads everywhere. While Priest had been together since the early-'70s, the band's big U.S. breakthrough came with 1982's SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE.
Like most other metal bands that broke through in the early '80s (Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, etc.), Judas Priest took advantage of the then-developing ...
| | Atomic Rooster Atomic Roooster CD (1970) Import
Chased music CDs
$11.65 CD contains previously unreleased BBC sessions & live tracks.
Recorded between 1970 and 1972. Includes liner notes by Arthur Brown.
All but overlooked in the U.S. for most of their career, this British prog band--essentially Arthur Brown's old backing band and numerous guests--has been slugging it out in one form another since 1970. This collection, while not a "best of," pulls together some tasty live tracks and studio cuts, effectively serving as a primer for new fans.
British outfit Atomic Rooster is well known among prog rock aficionados as sharing members with iconic acts the Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Emerson, Lake and Palmer. But the band's own output deserves notice, as the compilation THE DEVIL HITS BACK attests. Collecting singles, live tracks, and rarities from the band's output in the 1980s, THE DEVIL HITS BACK showcases the group's hard-rocking side, evincing comparisons to progressive rockers like Jethro Tull and more blues-based `70s and `80s hard-rock fare.
The incipient incarnation of Atomic Rooster -- with Vincent Crane (organ/vocals), Nick Graham (vocals/bass), and Carl Palmer (drums) -- was together just long enough to document its debut, Atomic Roooster (1970) -- (note: the extra O is intentional). Prior to the last-minute addition of Graham -- the only bassist Atomic Rooster ever had -- the band emerged from the remnants of the then recently defunct Crazy World of Arthur Brown. The material was primarily courtesy of Crane and consisted of heavier sides. His versatility is evident throughout the impressive array of styles ranging from the folk-inspired pastoral "Winter" to the bluesy horn arrangement heard on "Broken Wings." This directly contrasts driving rockers such as the album's edgy opener, "Friday 13th," or the aggressive "S.L.Y." "Decline and Fall" is a jazz-infused number boasting some exceptional if not incendiary instrumental interaction, most notably from Crane and Palmer. Lyrically, Crane reveals his penchant for dark imagery, including the fatalistic "What is the point of going on?" chorus that runs through the aforementioned "Winter" or the sexually snide "And So to Bed." Support was bolstered by strong live appearances, positive word-of-mouth, and a few significant BBC ...

$10.65 Brazil is so disproportionately blessed with great musicians, and has had such an outsized influence on both pop and jazz music around the world, that compiling a collection of great Brazilian music would seem to be an impossibly frustrating task. Even if you were to decide up front that for some insane reason you were going to leave out ...

$20.29 ***Hi everyone! Regarding the CD's of all my projects: I have no more plans to reduplicate them. They will always be downloadable. But... if you want the "physical CD", there are a few left of each. Thank you for all your support through the years!~RichardReminisce:to recollect and tell of past experiences or events...Growing up, we all have some kind of special memories that we revisit on occasion. Just like an old familiar friend you haven't seen in awhile. Memories, “little treasures", those special moments that no one can ever take away from you. Something almost magical, that strings back to our earliest childhood recollections and follows us up to the ever-present. And in those few milliseconds we feel a longing. ...
