album is a complete dud from start to finish. Are these guys listing to the same record I am? Nothing to recommend it. no hard rock, no blues rock. a disaster not recommended!!

| the last classic album to come out
this record is just as good as led zeppelin. there hasn't been a better album since this by any group. no doubt bonham and jpj could have made this album sound even better but that doesn't matter because this record is full of the magic and the soulful craftmanship that can only be heard on led zeppelin recordings. they need to get together again with jpj and do a studio record true fans deserve nothing more and nothing less. they don't want to call themselves led zeppelin and they don't want to play old songs live well that's just fine with me because the creativity is what the true fan loves. nobody can write, perform and create better music than the combined forces of john paul jones, page and plant they are eachothers equals and anything less doesn't equate to the best. they all have had some good solo record songs without eachother but the world needs great music and there isn't any right now. if they think it would be disrespectful to bonham to use a new drummer then maybe they should do an acoustic sacd with no drums and call it the bron-y-aur trio. until that day the new guns n roses album will probably fill the vaccum in the music world

| HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This was a real challenge for Plant & Page, that is, to record a whole new album without using Led Zeppelin tunes. And in my opinion they had passed the test successfully. Not a masterpiece but still a great work easily enjoyed even if you're not a Zep fan.

Being generally a Led Zep, Plant and Page fan i had to like this album. I think the first few songs are great. But the droning blues/rock does get a bit tiresome. However some gems come out of it. - Shining In The Light - When the World Was Young - Upon a Golden Horse - Most High These are great songs which need a good listening to. Dont snub a score of 3 off. It's still a great buy.
