This powerhouse's no con. the raw vocal skills in this first venture with rufus, made you wonder what's next? with that distinctive musical band, you knew it would be what they became, magical.... By 2 k kay (NO,LA,USA)
Totally underrated Everyone thinks Rags to Rufus is their debut, but this one came before that. This is one of Chaka Khan's best vocal performances ever. By Jackie (Milwaukee, WI)
"The Voice" debuts While not as strong as some of the later Rufus albums, particularly in the production department, this nevertheless features some fantastic vocal performances by the incomparable Chaka Khan. By Pete (Okayama, Japan.) This review is for a different format.
