 | Strong Adventures Women Looking for Love I 1st saw Westward the Women when I was 11 or 12 years old. I looked forward to seeing it every year. Then it was no longer being shown on any of the TV stations and I have been looking for it ever since. I was so excited when I found it. Then it came in the mail I had to open it and watch it right away. I still admire the strength, courage, pride and deterimation these women display. It is amazing how they do not let anything stop them from reaching their goal. And when they get there they still show the men, who greet them, they are still women who expect to be treated with respect and are proud to be women. This movie is a must for every woman. And there is some romance. By a reviewer (buxton me usa) |
| The color enhances the true west during the early days Robert Taylor as Buck as a no-nonsense Bachelor who gets caught up with Denise Darcel is really intriguing and delightful. To see how sturdy the women are in the periloless journey from St Louis to John McIntires valley is a wonderful story The color really makes it great. | "Girl power" at its earliest! I saw this movie when I was a teenager. Now take into consideration, I didn't really care for Westerns, and I had never seen a movie like this before, but I thoroughly enjoyed it because the women were as rugged as the men. When I have a daughter, she will watching my "girl power" movies with me. By Leslie (Irvington, NJ) This review is for a different format. |
