WOW Gospel 2001 is a two-disc mix of contemporary gospel songs from artists who have been around awhile, like CeCe Winans and Shirley Caesar, as well as from brand new acts like New Direction and Tonéx. The cuts are by acts ranging from gospel choirs (the Tommies), to hip-hop-minded artists with a message (B.B. Jay), and include cuts from chart-topping albums like Mary Mary's Thankful ("Shackles"). ~ Joslyn Layne

| | Mark Wills Greatest Hits CD (2002)
Wow Gospel 2001 album
$12.59 Like his contemporaries Clay Walker and Kenny Chesney, Mark Wills has always been at his best on the weepers. GREATEST HITS wisely sticks to ballads and thus makes for a cohesive, consistent and enjoyable listen. The tunes are arranged chronologically, so it's easy to hear how Wills's sound has become increasingly pop-oriented. Though the production eventually becomes so slick there's little to remind one that this is a country album, Wills's extraordinarily sensitive vocals more than make up for the rather bland backing tracks. In addition to the chart toppers, GREATEST HITS includes two new tracks. "19 Something" is a laundry list of gen-x nostalgia items (Stretch Armstrong, parachute pants) and is seemingly designed for fans of That '70s Show, but Wills's sincere delivery renders it strangely ...

Wow Gospel 2001 CD music
$9.69 THE HULK, adapted by Ang Lee (CROUCHING TIGER/HIDDEN DRAGON, THE ICE STORM) from the Marvel comic book series, stars Eric Bana as Bruce Banner, the tormented scientist whose temper periodically transforms him into a raging green monster. Fellow scientist and Hulk-love-interest Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly), shares a strange connection with Banner--both have abstract childhood nightmares that hint at a shared dark past. The missing pieces of the puzzle are revealed when Banner's unstable, mad-scientist father David (Nick Nolte) appears out of the blue, followed by Betty's ...
| | Kenny Loggins Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: The Greatest Hits Of... CD (1997)
Wow Gospel 2001 music CDs
$6.85 This retrospective album is a must-have for Kenny Loggins fans, providing highlights from his illustrious, twenty-year career. GREATEST HITS includes songs compiled from thirteen albums, including several film soundtracks and one forthcoming album, THE UNIMAGINABLE LIFE. From the heartfelt ballad "Whenever I Call You 'Friend,'" sung with Stevie Nicks, to the delightfully simple tribute to childhood and Winnie the Pooh, "House at Pooh Corner," nearly every song here is intensely familiar. Who could forget the '80s anthem "Footloose," or the light, funky "This is It," equally evocative of an earlier era? More recent recordings like "Conviction of the Heart" and "The Real Thing" embrace his deep involvement in the environmental movement and fatherhood, ...
