Godhead makes no secret of its influences, proudly sporting sonic touches reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. Like the work of those artists, Godhead's brand of industrial rock shifts back and forth between moody, murky electronics and driving, ear-piercing riffs and shrieks in the grand Ministry tradition.
On 2000 YEARS OF HUMAN ERROR the band seems to lean a bit more towards the carefully-produced, apocalyptic soundscapes of NIN than the overt shock-rock of Trent Reznor's former proteges Marilyn Manson. But the one thing all three bands certainly share is the unleavened gloom and sonic evocation of tightly wound oppression that permeates the songs. Still, no one will come to Godhead's music expecting a beach party, and those enamored of heavy-hitting gloom-rock will find 2000 YEARS eminently satisfying.

Rolling Stone (2/15/01, p.75) - 3 out of 5 stars - "...[They] crunch guitars and act like pariahs, just like their forefathers....the band inhabits its cover of 'Eleanor Rigby' like a parasite...turning 'look at all the lonely people' into a rally for the goth masses." Q (3/01, p.107) - 3 stars out of 5 - "...Dry beats, electronic undercurrents and spookily whispered lyrics....Where Marilyn Manson is dark and introspective, Godhead are much more outgoing..." Mojo (Publisher) (2/01, p.94) - "...A sound so hypnotically synthetic it makes Heaven 17 sound like Robert Johnson. It helps that there's a sense of humor hidden within the New Romantic flourishes here..." 2000 Years Of Human Error Music | List Price | $26.99 (You save $4.90) | | Category | Rock Albums, Pop CDs, Heavy Metal, Alternative, Rock/Pop | | Label | Priority | | Orig Year | 2001 | | All Time Sales Rank | 48089 | | CD Universe Part number | 1573980 | | Catalog number | 853464 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Jan 23, 2001 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Producer | Danny Saber | | Engineer | Jesse Gorman; Danny Saber | | Personnel | Mike Miller - guitar, background vocals James O'Connor - drums Jason Miller - vocals, guitar

Godhead 2000 Years Of Human Error Songs 2000 Years Of Human Error Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Always Great This CD is great, its got songs that can very from pretty heavy rock (songs like Break You Down), to songs like Penetrate that are slower but still catchy, this is a good CD, if you like godhead this is a must-have CD. Yet Another Fabulous CD While I'm not a huge fan of either NIN or Manson, which critics are constantly comparing this cd to, I must say that I broke my normal trend of musical taste with Godhead. This album is by far the best they have done thus far, and I can only hope that the next will not pale in comparison. It will definatly be a hard one to beat. My kudos to Jason, Method, Mike, and James for thier dedication. It has most definatly paid off. I highly recommend this album to anyone with a taste for the darker side of life. 2000 Years Of Human Error
$15.65 Recorded live at Brixton Academy, London, England on December 8, 2001. Includes liner notes by Charles Marsh.
As live albums go, Hellalive is solid: a nice cross section of songs from Machine Head's four albums, a dense, guitar-centric mix (courtesy of famed metal producer Colin Richardson), and tight, energetic performances. This live set, recorded primarily at London's Brixton Academy in 2001, is adequately muscular, Robb Flynn unleashing his demons on venom-spewers "Take My Scars," "Ten Ton Hammer," ...
| | Jeff Greinke Hana CD (1999)
2000 Years Of Human Error
$13.79 Hana is a set of gentle, sometimes rhythmic ambience from Jeff Greinke and Anisa Romero, lead vocalist from Sky Cries Mary. On six of the eight compositions, Romero's vocals are wordless chants. Her heartfelt style allows her voice to be an integral part of Greinke's sound design. Track five, "Liquid Opera," features only Greinke's manipulation of her chanted vocals. It is a highlight of the set. Greinke's minimalism, usually dark and somber, sees a new light through Romero's sophisticated soprano. Her style does little to change the solemnity of the music, but does much to alter the perspective. The ambience is not dark; the atmospheres are full of angst but not pain. This CD is unlike any other. Fans of Dead Can Dance, Jim Cole, Lee Ellen Shoemaker (the Tunnel Singer), and Loreena McKennitt might like this CD. From a historical perspective, that uniqueness makes this a solid addition to any collection. ~ Jim Brenholts

2000 Years Of Human Error
$13.59 Natalie Walker. Urban Angel. Biography.Born and raised in Indiana, vocalist Natalie Walker is an artist whose lilting, melodic voice and lyrical reveries reflect a life journey of determination and self-discovery. With musical influences ranging from Alison Krauss to Portishead, Jewel to Lauryn Hill, Beth Orton to Bjork, the former lead singer of downtempo electronic group Daughter Darling now delivers her own unique, haunting sonic landscape that is at once organic, ethereal, elegant and entrancing. “Creating music is my outlet,” says Natalie. “I was born to sing. When I don’t, I feel empty. When I do, I feel fulfilled. It’s that simple.”Urban Angel, her solo album debut, was co-written by Natalie and two-man production team Stuhr. “I worked with two really great producers out of Brooklyn, Dan Chen and Nate Greenberg. They’d send me the rough copy of a song and the music would just evoke emotion,” she explains. “Its like fitting pieces of a puzzle together. When you’re in the studio recording its all very raw and real. I try to make a song new each time I sing it. I want it to be unforgettable. My producers are amazing. They forced me to develop my real voice. I’ve improved my vibrato and my tone. Stuhr delivered exactly what I asked of them. It couldn’t have happened more perfectly.”“This album happened so naturally. The music all melds together. It’s chill and non-intrusive, the perfect mellow music at an intimate gathering. Or you can sit back, put your headphones on and really get lost in it,” Natalie suggests. “Urban Angel definitely exudes sensuality, and sexuality, and a little bit of heartache. I really tap ...
