Instead, it borrows from the original HIGHLANDER and the television series. From the original comes the idea of a more experienced immortal guiding one who is less experienced--originally Sean Connery helped Christopher Lambert; in ENDGAME, Lambert assists Adrian Paul. From the television series come Paul, and the Watchers, a secret group who chronicles the history of the immortals. HIGHLANDER: ENDGAME, with plunging ultrafast aerial shots swooping down over Scotland, is a breathless adventure in which Christopher Lambert and Adam Paul unsheathe their swords to do battle with evil. The sword-wielding immortals are back--Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) from HIGHLANDER and Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) from television's HIGHLANDER series. In HIGHLANDER: ENDGAME, the two MacLeods do battle across time and space (from 15th century Scotland to present-day New York). Their foe is the evil, ultra-powerful Jacob Kell (Bruce Payne). Kell's immortal purpose is to make Connor's immortal life miserable--Kell was responsible for the death of Connor's mother and his wife, Heather. Kell is assisted by Kate (Lisa Barbuscia)--she seeks revenge on Duncan for giving her no choice about becoming an immortal. The VHS and DVD releases feature an extended new cut of the film.

Lachlan, one of the immortals who side with Jacob Kell, is played by the Canadian wrestler Edge. Edge's was born as Adam Copeland in Ontario in 1973.
Jin Ye, another immortal on Kell's side, is played by Donnie Yen, the star--and occasionally director—of numerous Hong Kong action movies.

Very cool movie. Good plot, good fight scenes, and it ties up a few loose ends! Recommended for any Highlander fan and anyone else who didn't like the second and third installments.

 If you liked the series,it's good! But I didn't!!!
I like the movie's okay,but I alway's thought the series was lame.So to me it's like taking a possable good movie,and dipping it in cr!p.Plus the movie was very cheesy,and shakespearianish to me.Which comes across a quite a bit pretentish,and I hated the ending.Because I hate the series.So in short I think it's best to buy the original film or better yet buy the movie Beowulf instead,because Christopher Lambert kick's more butt in that one movie then probably all the highlander's combined...

All Highlander fans must have this dvd, not only for the movie, but for all the special characteristics too!!
Connor is great, it's a bittersweet surprise his fate, but Duncan's the greatest and there could be only one.

After the sham of Highlander II and III (although the Renegade version is a vast improvement), we return to the original values of the series. Awesome fight scenes, excellent drama. SUPERB!!

Highlander: EndGame...
Absolutely a collector's dream. Christopher and Adrian delivered great performances. I've been a FAN since the first movie. Highlander truly united the kinsman, and passed the torch with reverence and class.

At a time when most of the first wave of Norwegian black metal bands are long gone, Darkthrone has become the senior figures of this particular subgenre almost by default; they're like the Rolling Stones of death metal.
