91 minute feature film DVD starring Albert Brooks and Julie Hagerty, who are paired as a yuppie couple hitting the open road to "discover America." David Howard is a seriously stressed-out advertising executive beset with financial and professional commitments. He and his wife, Linda, have just purchased an expensive new home and he's expecting to become company vice president. But on their moving day, his life takes a radical turn when he loses the big promotion to a coworker and tells off his boss. So David grabs Linda, buys a Winnebago, and sets out on a cross-county road trip. En route, they make some pretty startling discovers about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. Sedate married couple David and Linda Howard live lives of quiet desperation. David has put in eight long years as creative director of a top ad agency, while Linda has worked in a windowless office for the last seven years. They both know there's something missing but don't know how to fix it. When David doesn't get the promotion he's been counting on, they impulsively decide to drastically alter their quiet lifestyle--they quit their jobs, withdraw their nest egg from the bank, and head out on the highway in a brand-new Winnebago to live out their lives EASY RIDER style. There's just one small problem Linda never mentioned to David, and they soon find their plan drastically altered. Watch for filmmaker Garry Marshall in a hilarious role as a casino manager. Brooks and Hagerty make a terrifically funny couple, making this charming film an absolute delight from beginning to end. LOST IN AMERICA is number 84 on the AFI's list of America's 100 Funniest Movies.

As John tries to figure out why, as he puts it, she hates him, he also has to contend with his jealous younger brother, who can't stand to see him threatening his position as mama's boy. MOTHER is a bittersweet comedy from Albert Brooks, the master of urbane wit. Debbie Reynolds makes her first film appearance in years as Henderson's maddening but loving mother. $9.85 Daniel Miller's got it all--great friends, a terrific job, and a brand-new BMW--that is, until he crashes the car into a bus as soon as he drives it off the lot. Daniel finds himself in Judgment City in the afterlife, where the newly dead have five days to defend the way they lived their lives in order to be allowed to move onward instead of going back to earth to live another one. As Daniel reviews his less-than-courageous life, he also enjoys the perks of Judgment City--the Past Lives Pavilion, all the food you can eat without any risk of weight gain--and Julia, the woman he's waited all his life to find. But if he can't prove his life wasn't governed by fear, Daniel has to go back--and Julia seems a shoo-in to move onward. This highly original, touching comedy stars Albert Brooks as Daniel Miller and ...
