Oasis Of The Zombies Movie Review Average Rating: (3.3 out of 5 stars) Coffee break for the Flesh Eaters Oasis of the Zombies, while classified as a zombie movie, isn't really. This movie is a return to the old 1930's pre-Night of the Living Dead Zombies, You know the ones that walk around moaning! That's what these are and they don't kill for flesh, just to protect the gold. The setting and appearence of the zombies and the Desert reminds me of a mummy movie. This film has also many flaws to look for such as, a shiek as old as his daughter and that doesn't even age over 30 years, A group takes a picture of them in front of a fake camel, yet they were surrounded by real ones!, A man interupts a group recording a pray by asking "What you doing?" and they just stumble across the people bent over in prayer, A girl is attacked by not killed by zombies but later acts normally, the others found dead are just buried and forgotten, and what would two girls be doing in the desert alone? It must be seen to believe and enjoyed in all it's flawfulness!!!

NOT THAT BAD this movie wasnt as bad as i thought after i read the reviews,i was afraid to buy it..but after seeing it.,hey for 8 bucks im not complaining..i thought the zombies looked kinda cool, and the story was so so..yes it could have used some gore which would have made it a good movie.and the ending was lame and left you wanting more...but for a 1983 flick and being a euroshock movie and only 8 bucks.what the heck i'll add to my collection anyway and probably get bored and even watch a few times...i appreciate a movie the more times i see it... Not too scary Personally I did not like this movie because it does not have the real feeling that you are watching a zombie movie. The make up is ridiculous and the plot is a really crap. Don't waste your time watching it. Submitted by byreu (Van Nuys, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Big disappointment I am really amazed to read that this movie received at least 3 stars from other viewers. I only counted 1 (!) scene which is worthwhile mentioning; this movie really lacks bloody scenes and gore. If you want to see a decent zombie movie, go and get Zombi 2 (Lucio Fulci) or the original Dawn of the Dead (George Romero), just to mention a few , to really see how such movie should be made.
