| | Anthony Miles Even Wolves Dream CD - Import Anthony Miles Discography of CDs
There is a persistent image of the northern lights, that ghostly dance against the pitch dark sky, in the music of Anthony Miles on Even Wolves Dream. The image is one the music brings forth when melodies and countermelodies flutter, fade and reappear. The voice of wolves weave a wildness into the richly lyrical pieces. The melodies that are drawn out of the vast musical background seem like starlight or a human voice in the wilderness. Despite this, the music is warm and comforting in all its immensity. ~ MusD Even Wolves Dream Music | List Price | $16.98 (You save $0.59) | | Category | Rock/Pop Albums, New Age CDs, Rock | | Label | New World Music | | Orig Year | 1993 | | All Time Sales Rank | 315340 | | CD Universe Part number | 1582344 | | Catalog number | 251 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Feb 06, 1996 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Recording Time | 40 minutes | | Additional Info | United Kingdom |

| | Enya Shepherd Moons CD (1991)
Even Wolves Dream CD music
$14.09 Her otherworldly voice is trance-like in such songs as the tranquil "Shepherd Moons," "Angeles," "Evacuee," and "Marble Halls." Accessibly lilting, awash in synth strings, "Caribbean Blue" is this album's answer to "Orinoco Flow," Enya's gigantic worldwide pop hit. The song, as all the others, transports the listener to another place. "How Can I Keep Singing?" is Irish folk music at its best. "Ebudae" ...
| | David Sylvian Approaching Silence CD (1999)
Even Wolves Dream music CDs
$7.09 Originally conceived as music for multi-media installations, as an audio-only experience Sylvian's album provides us with a soporific dose of ambient sounds. The title track is made up of cyclical motifs of bells and sustained chords reverberating like ripples on a pond, punctuated by a rich gong-like guitar chord. This is suffused with hushed animal calls, fragments of fuzzy talk-radio programmes and the garbled falsetto of contributor Robert Fripp.
"Epiphany" takes sampled material of passing trains and hushed church bells and a plaintive human wailing phrase to make an all-too-brief interlude. Continuing in much the same atmospheric vein "The Beekeeper's Apprentice" is a summer doze in a wooded glade. Imagine chandeliers tinkling in the warm breeze and half-hear the faint sound of a distant civilisation. The hypnotic doze is peppered by shards of muted feedback buzzing in and out like an inquisitive bee, associating the music with its title. Bearing in mind this music was intended to accompany art installations it does work as an ambient album. It has less variety of sounds ...
| | Secret Garden White Stones CD (1997)
Even Wolves Dream songs
$10.69 On their second album, duo Secret Garden play with the conventions of Celtic and neo-classical music, weaving in unexpected elements like Spanish guitars and Eastern European folk melodies as their muse dictates. Norwegian pianist Rolf Lovland composes striking instrumentals for which Fionnuala Sherry's violin supplies the lead voice. Just about every song here features a lavish orchestral arrangement, but it's Sherry's violin that speaks loudest and touches the ...

| | Tony Toni Tone House Of Music CD (1996)
Even Wolves Dream songs
$8.49 After the commercial successes of THE REVIVAL and SONS OF SOUL Tony Toni Tone returned with HOUSE OF MUSIC, the trio's most mature and critically lauded collection to date. The album-opening "Thinking of You" seems like a long-lost classic culled from the vaults of Al Green. "Lovin' You" is informed by Stevie Wonder's most sensuous funk, and "Top Notch" even has a bit of a psychedelic slant to it. The group continues to demonstrate its deft ability to craft sensuous ballads; "Til Last Summer" and "Holy Smokes & Gee Whiz" demonstrate a well-honed mastery of the form. Throughout, HOUSE OF MUSIC is spiked by sweet vocal harmonies and sharp guitar work.
Additional personnel includes: Sheila E. (percussion); DJ Quik (triangle).
