A timeless classic..with much bonus material..
This has always been my favorite Motown album. although I probably own about 100 or more. This album is as relevant/applicable today as it was when it first came out in 1971.

Greatest R&B album ever!!!
.1st the album. What's Goin On isn't a question for the times, no it's a statement of the times.1971 and Marvin reflected on racial issues, civil unrest "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)", the abuse of children "Save The Children" and the riots, civil unrest and drug abuse that had burned a number of cities, including his own "Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)". The Vietnam war which his brother had just returned from "What's Goin On"... Marvin was angry and hopeful.

Timeless Classic!!!
This CD is a classic among classics. There is really not much you can say about this album that hasn't already been said.

Marvin we hardly knew you
The remastered album is perfect. The live show at the Kennedy Center gets a bit repetitive.

Improved Sound
This SACD, Mofi version is soundwise superior to the Motown version I knew from before. The album is a true classic and should be part of any collection.
