One of the key artists of the late-1980s New York City hip-hop scene, Big Daddy Kane won over a considerable audience with his first two albums, LONG LIVE THE KANE and IT'S A BIG DADDY THING. This well-selected collection draws heavily from those records, giving listeners a potent dose of Kane's smooth, ladies'-man persona on tracks such as the cool, confident "Ain't No Half Steppin'" and the frenetic "I Get the Job Done." Particularly for those who don't own those discs, this is the perfect overview of some of the Big Daddy's finest moments.

Kane material. Because when he flipped it, I was so blessed to be able to hear.And if he were making his debut album in these days. He would have three quarter's of all you rapper's
money in his backpocket.Thats how R.A.W

If ya don't like Kane then ya don't like RAP. A lot of clowns think people like Kane, Dougie Fresh and MC Shan are whack. Their old stuff sounds better than the weak crap that's being sold in stores now. Nobody scratches anymore, nobody mixes and cuts anymore. All the lyrics are the same;I'm a hustler, I'm a pimp, I sell drugs, I'm trying to catch STD's so I screw a lot of girls. Hopefully all the real rappers will start making new material so the RAP game can be saved.
