5 stars Corelli for the 21st Century
I first heard the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra performing with Alonzo King's Lines Ballet. I was so taken by their extraordinary musicianship and inprovisational approach to the Baroque repertoire that I immediately went on line and found two CDs, this one and another of music by Vivaldi. The PBO bring this music to life in a way that is both faithful to the period and stunningly contemporary. I give this CD five stars.
