| | Faithless Back To Mine CD Faithless Discography of CDs
This is a continuous in-the-mix CD compiled and mixed by Faithless.
Dido's "My Life," the opening cut on Faithless' installation in the BACK TO MINE after-hours mix series, establishes the tone for this down-tempo set. As a late-night mix should, the music here induces drowsy, indolent reverie, allowing the listener to float off on pulsing beats, soaring melodies, and ambient effects.
Dusted's "Childhood" and Sub Sub's "Past" perfectly articulate the mode, and the grooves get a bit heavier along the way with Adamski's "Never Goin' Down," and Alex Gopher's "The Child" (featuring vocal samples from Billie Holiday's "God Bless the Child"). The disc closes out with the triple-header of Aaron Neville's "Hercules," Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You," and Shinehead's cover of "Billie Jean" (in deep roots reggae/dub mode). It's an interesting mix, and one that will make that cozy, late-night comedown all the more enjoyable.

Purchase Back To Mine CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Paul Butterfield Blues Band CD (1965)
Back To Mine
$6.19 The '60s Blues Revival begins here. Calling this album influential is an understatement akin to calling the Grand Canyon a rut; suffice to say that an entire generation of musicians (mostly young and white) heard this and had their lives changed forever. In fact, for at least a year after the album's release in 1965, it was impossible to walk down the hall of any college dorm in America without ...
| | VH1 Presents The Corrs Live In Dublin CD (2002)
Back To Mine
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable efforts via an anthemized version of Ryan Adams' beautifully downtempo "When the Stars Go Blue," and a great, leering rendition of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's "Summer Wine."
Somewhat more mysteriously, Rolling Stone Ron Wood also turns up on what sounds dangerously ...

Back To Mine
$11.99 A sprawling two-disc set, the Drive-By Truckers' SOUTHERN ROCK OPERA is a cracked masterpiece that's enjoyable on several different levels. Hipsters might enjoy the giggly premise of a two-disc set devoted to a slightly altered retelling of the rise and fall of 1970s Southern rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd. Progressive rock fans ...

| | Antony I Am A Bird Now CD (2005)
Back To Mine
$12.49 Though he probably achieved his greatest mainstream recognition backing up Lou Reed on tour, idiosyncratic songbird Antony is a fully established artiste in his own right. Backed by the Johnsons, as on I AM A BIRD NOW, he crafts delicate ballads that skirt the lines between cabaret, artsong, and pop, with the kind of voice that Stephin Merritt would probably kill for. Antony's unique pipes bring ...

Back To Mine
$20.29 BE HEALED contains over 75 minutes of original piano-driven songs with bold, in-your-face lyrics about receiving physical healing through faith in Jesus Christ. About 2/3 of the songs are up-tempo, primarily rock n' roll and country, while the remaining 1/3 are mostly soft rock ballads. Some people have likened the sound to that of Jerry Lee Lewis and Keith Green.BE HEALED is a faith-building CD that's actually fun to listen to. Jesus paid the price 2,000 years ...
