| True Aerosmith fans should be in outrage The only thing to say about this CD is that it sucks. I grew up listening to the clasic songs of Aerosmith, when the music was about the music. This album sounds as if it is all made by computer, and under the only goal to make money. I am a big fan of clasic Aerosmith anthoms, such as Train Kept a Rollin', Dream On, Last Child, Same Old Song and Dance,Mama Kin, and so on. I am now embarrassed to call myself an Aerosmith fan after their latest efforts, and any true Aerosmith fan should also be. By neilyoung2211 (Portland, ME, USA) |
| Not Their Best This is a pretty bad album it just doesn't seem like the old hard-rocking Aerosmith we used to know. It's one of their worst, if you want you really experience Aerosmith at their best get Rocks, Toys In The Attic, or any of their early works, PUMP is pretty good too. But you should avoid this at all costs. By TonyG. (Las Vegas, NV) |
| The worst Aerosmith album There's nothing good to say about this album: bad production, worst songs,... when we thought that they couldn't go downer than with Armageddon song... they release an entire album with the worst side of Aerosmith... as a matter of fact, I prefer not to think about it as an Aerosmith album. | this could be THE worst sellout EVER As a long time fan of Aerosmith I was HORRIFIED to hear how far the mighty hath fallen. There is no redeeming qualities about this record that I could possibly impart to you even if I tried. "Jaded", their cutesy MTV-ish hit single is the BEST song on the record; an album I might add that is dumbfoundly void of Joe Perry's brilliantly crafted riffing and Steven Tyler's whiskey-drenched cabbage patch kid vocal delivery. This bares no resemblance whatsoever to their still brilliant classics "Rocks", "Draw the Line" or even "Get a Grip". This is like watered down pop rocks and there is a reasonable probability that even the reigning pro-censorship queen, Tipper Gore, has this in her collection. Just push play? I think not. Just push eject, pause, stop or erase whichever ends this glaring disgrace in the shortest amount of time. Aerosmith is squarely on the verge of undermining and completely destroying their rather substantial legacy faster than Bill Clinton did. This is about as dangerous as a Walton's Sunday family reunion and that just ain't rock 'n' roll. By a reviewer (everett, wa) |
