From the first grinding notes of the famous vamp that introduces "Whole Lotta Love," LED ZEPPELIN II announces for all to hear that they are the definitive hard rock band of their generation. Led Zeppelin II music CDs But before the listener can even settle into the groove, things takes a hard left turn into a spacey new rhythm, exotically flavored by Page's droning feedback and innovative use of a violin bow. Led Zeppelin II songs By tune's end, Zeppelin has repeatedly toyed with the listener's expectations. This subversive quality distinguishes most of the arrangements on LED ZEPPELIN II, as in the soft/hard dynamic shifts of "What Is And What Should Never Be," the gospelish mood of "Thank You," the rocking vamps and funk rhythms of "Heartbreaker" and "Living Loving Maid," and the country music echoes of "Ramble On." | I've gotta a whole lotta love for this album! This album is probably one the best albums ever created! There second album in one year, that is amazing. After their spectacular debut album, Zep 1, I am still impressed on the great Page riffs, the booming drums by Bonzo, not to mention Moby Dick, Plant's bluesy vocas and Jonsey's pounding bass! This cover is also just like the original vinyl cover 35 years ago only smaller. I wouldn't know though because I'm 13. But my dad told me. ZEPPELIN RULE! By sauerwald_8 (Adelaide, SA, Australia) |

| Nothing Better. Don't bother with the "Best of" CDs. Get Zepplin I, II, IV, and Houses of the Holy. These are all must haves. Works of Rock Art. By TM (mason, Ohio) This review is for a different format. |
| TIMELESS ! "LED ZEPPLIN II" is as good today as it was almost 30 years ago. The guitar work by page is some of the best you will ever hear. If you weren't around back then you might want to give this a try. Very unique. By a reviewer (Milledgeville, Ga) This review is for a different format. |
| Wanna whole lotta rock??? Led Zep blasted back into the charts with "Led Zeppelin 2" in late 1969. Although it's not the rock masterpiece like its predecessor, it still rocks your socks off all the same! "Whole Lotta Love" has to be the anthem of any Casanova - or just anyone who digs intimate fun! And "What is and what should never be" is one of the best blues/rock numbers ever written. It's one heck of a good album, just has a few dull moments like "Thank you" and "Ramble on" - other than that, it's more rocking good times from Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham. ROCK ON PEOPLE!!!
