Sham 69 was part of the original wave of UK punk bands in the mid-to-late 1970s. They were working-class lads and proud of it, completely disdaining any sort of "arty" or "pop" approaches in their rowdy but heartfelt anthem-like tunes. COCKNEY KIDS ARE INNOCENT contains 20 (!) of their best, including "Angels With Dirty Faces," "Borstal Breakout," "Tell Us The Truth," and a cover of the great '60s "protest" song "Mister You're A Better Man Than I," made famous by the Yardbirds.
Digipak repressing of this fantastic 16 track 'best of' from Hersham's finest Punks. This collection captures all the high points of Sham's career when they provided a voice for thousands of kids growing up against the odds. Includes 'If The Kid's Are United', 'Hurry Up Harry', 'Hersham Boys', 'Tell The Children' and 'Angels With Dirty Faces". Also includes a rare promo video of 'Action Time Vision'. Cherry Red.
