In addition to all-new special effects, such as sun glare, heat distortion and reflections, Gran Turismo 3 A-spec also offers up a soundtrack of more than 20 licensed tracks, and an even better replay mode with TV-style camera views. Two players can go head-to-head via split-screen and up to six can duke it out by linking multiple systems together via i.LINK. Two years in the making....and it delivers?
well, if you are a racing games nut the answer is yes.If you are a Gran Turismo's Fan this game is pure bliss.But if you are like me, looking for the best racing simulation, you will be disappointed.
GT3 will meet only the graphical expectations.Aside from the benefits of the dual-shock 2 and the 60 fps (what makes the game very responsive),you are playing the same old gran turismo.
Where this game really shines is in it's presentation, it is almost flawless (It's a shame that you can't adjust the music/soundFX balance), nice intro, cool menus, good loading times,decent two player mode, I-link battle mode up to six players,4 replay modes, terrific customizable soundtrack,very good memory card management, and of course, tons of events, championships, and endurances.Playing at full time will require at least 2 weeks to complete all this game has to offer.
To sum up, Gran Turismo 3 A spec is a great racing game that shows the power of the PS2, but it's not the best racing simulator.

The little details - the sun suddenly shining in your eye as you drive down the dirt track - are what make this game so special

Gran Turismo 3 is defitily the best car simulator game I´ve ever seen. The screen and the sound are just icrerible.
I had a grate assistence from CD Universe to get this game in Brazil, right after the game get aloud at the store, they send it to me and less then 10 days it was here alredy

This game is sooooo tiyt,with tha grafics,the best OVERALL car is the Opel Speedster.It has 346hp (give it an oil change, and you have 361hp).It'll smmoooke the Lotus Motor Sport Elise!!!
