Top of the Heap
This date introduced thequirky, brilliant pianist Joanne Brackeen to a wider audience; and how could you have a better rhythm section than the fabulous Billy Hart who always says more on the drums than almost anyone else, and the late great bassist Neils-Henning Orsted Peterson who recorded a number of fine sessions behind Dexter Gordon at this same club in Copenhagen on the same label, Steeplechase.
