Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; DTS Sound TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME is the feature-length prequel to the TV cult phenomenon, arranged around events occurring during the last week of Laura Palmer's life: her realization of the true identity of "Bob," her last visit to the Roadhouse with Donna, and her fateful trip to the cabin of sleazeball Jacques Renault. Fans of the show will appreciate this deliberately paced meditation on the show's myriad themes. Director David Lynch returns to the Pacific Northwest territory that helped to change the face of television in 1990, making him a household name all across America. A predecessor to that series, FIRE WALK WITH ME recounts the final week in the life of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), a sparkling teenager who finds herself caught up in a seedy underworld and is eventually murdered. As Laura abuses cocaine and performs sexual favors for a series of shady characters, she also must balance her day-to-day affairs, which include a best friend, Donna (Moira Kelly), an ex-boyfriend, James (James Marshall), and her parents, Leland (Ray Wise) and Sarah (Grace Zabriskie). Screenwriters Lynch and Robert Engels raise more questions than they answer, keeping the film's mystery ambiguous even by the film's conclusion. While this will most certainly appeal to die-hard fans of the series, it isn't necessary for the viewer to have any prior knowledge of the characters in order to follow the story line, for Lynch's unique vision is enough to keep audiences engaged even when they aren't able to put the pieces together. Haunting, humorous, and strange, FIRE WALK WITH ME is another work of artistry from the mind of David Lynch. Released theatrically in the United States on August 28, 1992.
The film was shot on location in Washington State, as well as in Los Angeles, California.
Lara Flynn Boyle turned down the role of Donna Hayward because of her character's projected nude scenes. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Reviews: "...[A] mixture of subversive dreaminess, winking kitsch and offbeat wit..."-- Michael Wilmington, Los Angeles Times "[It] achieves a strange, moving intensity."

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Movie Review Average Rating: (2.5 out of 5 stars) Strange and pointless, yet memorable I dont not wish to blow off the movie as simply weird. But it chose to use a very abstract form of storytelling, so it has no choice but to deliver something that the audience can cling to. This movie suffers because of what it does not do. It does not answer questions any more clearly than it had for anyone who has seen at least the 1st season of twin peaks(we know "who" killed Laura, although a finite explanation of the "forces" who cause it, and why they are causing this murder are not, and apparently never will be known). It does not stand on its own. It does not convincingly use its metaphors and symbolism as a form of art, rather they seem, more than they were in the show, to be done for the sake of being weird. It does not keep the fun quirkiness of the Tv show. It does however have David Bowie. That is hardly an even trade, no matter how much I liked him in Labyrith. The images do grab your attention however. They are very dark, and possibly will even scare some. Since so much of the story involves symbolism and supernatural forces, it will grab your attention, even if you cannot make head or tails of what youre seeing. This will leave you frustrated, even if part of you wants to appreciate seeing something different. But different is all it turns out to be. This is not a good movie. Nor is it a good Twin Peaks addition. But if it is on as you flip through the channels, you may find yourself watching it longer than youd anticipated, trying to figure out what that crazy image actually means. Powerful Lynch A masterful prequel to the TV series with a much darker and harder edge. This is Laura Palmer's story if you haven't watched the series-WATCH THIS LAST!!
The DVD has a 30 min documentary with some insights from the cast that shed light on some of the missing deleted scenes. They could not obtain the rights to the missing material for this release so we have to take what we get. The NEW 5.1 DD and DTS tracks are wonderful really pulling you into the world or TP, the opening credits almost hypnotize you. For the price this is a worthy release presented in OAR of 1.85:1 it is nice to see Lynch's most underrated work finally get the DVD treatment. Now make with the DELETED SCENES!! Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me film
$9.69 David Lynch strikes again with this literal nightmare of a motion picture--a brilliant, scathing, hysterical, and haunting ode to Hollywood. In the film, a mysterious dark-haired woman (Laura Elena Harring) emerges from an accident with a purse full of cash and a head full of amnesia. Meanwhile, Betty Elms (Naomi Watts), a wide-eyed gal from Deep River, Ontario, has just landed in Los Angeles with dreams of movie super stardom. When Betty finds the nameless beauty in her aunt's apartment, she is deeply intrigued by the situation and offers to help her. This sends the two women on a bizarre search for the truth through the macabre, sun-soaked streets of the City of Angels, where the mob, a young film director (Justin Theroux), a ...

$9.79 Director David Lynch follows up 1984's DUNE with this electrifyingly original thriller. He befriends Sandy Williams (Laura Dern), the daughter of the detective assigned to the case, and uses her information to investigate the situation himself. This leads Jeffrey to Dorothy Valence (Isabella Rossellini), a sexy nightclub singer whose involvement with a raving psychopath named Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper) begins to answer some important questions. ...

$19.55 With INLAND EMPIRE, David Lynch--creator of such mind-bending works as ERASERHEAD and LOST HIGHWAY--delivers his most avant-garde, abstract, and impenetrable vision yet. A three-hour fever nightmare of a motion picture, INLAND EMPIRE takes the basic structure of Lynch's 2001 masterpiece, MULHOLLAND DRIVE, and spins it even further out of control. A blonde actress (Laura Dern) is preparing for her biggest role yet, but when she finds herself falling for her co-star (Justin Theroux), she realizes that her life is beginning to mimic the fictional film that they're shooting. Adding to her confusion is the revelation that the current film is a remake of a doomed Polish production, 47, which was never finished due to an unspeakable tragedy. And that's the only the beginning. Soon, a seemingly endless onslaught of indescribably bizarre situations flashes across the screen: a sitcom featuring humans in bunny suits, a parallel story set in a wintry Poland, a houseful of dancing streetwalkers, screwdrivers in stomachs, menacing Polish carnies, ...
