Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Simply Awesome I actually wasn't too much into punk and i was mainly interested in Rap and Hip Hop, but after listening to rufio, I've really begined to like punk as a whole. It's an awesome cd. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't buy it. Submitted by DS9iceman (Hollidaysburg, PA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

This cd is one of my favorite cds i own. Great bass in it too, if ur a bass player then u should buy this to hear their bass player. I would recommend this over 1985 anyday, if uve only heard 1985 then give this a listen and u will forever be a rufio fan. LaTe Submitted by *JaMeS* (SoCaL) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | No Use For A Name Hard Rock Bottom CD (2002)
Perhaps, I Suppose... music CDs
$6.65 No Use for a Name has built its reputation on a solid foundation of hard-hitting punk, flooding its songs with melodies and fueling them with signature stop-start rhythms that thunder across the grooves, come to an abrupt halt, then pound off again in hyperdrive. Thus, it's a bit of a shock to find Hard Rock Bottom opening with a brief acoustic number, and although nothing else clocks in at this dawdling pace, a handful of mid-tempo numbers are scattered about as well. Equally startling is a cover of Sinéad O'Connor's "This Is a Rebel Song," a pusillanimous duet between ...

| | Yellowcard Ocean Avenue CD (2003) Enhanced CD
Perhaps, I Suppose... CD music
$10.65 Yellowcard's major-label debut is that rarity in latter-day punk-rock--a nuanced, almost subtle collection of distinctive songs with lyrics sensitive enough to reference moonlight, the ocean, and DEATH OF A SALESMAN, amongst its more usual expressions of post-teen angst. ...
| | Sigue Sigue Sputnik Flaunt It CD (1986) (Import)
Perhaps, I Suppose... music CDs
$11.79 Sigue Sigue Sputnik's first single, "Love Missile F1-11," was unlike anything heard in the 30-plus years of rock & roll. Gunfire and explosions, bits of Mozart, then mad Thunders-like guitar breaks, backwards vocals, and tons of reverb all add to a song that shifts and changes every few seconds, leaving no chance that the listener will grow bored. Lines like "A U.S. bomb cruises overheard/There goes my love, rocket-red," allude to sex and nuclear war. Singer Martin Degville repeated calls to "Shoot it up!" sound like Elvis by way of Alan Vega, and every influence is thrown in, including Eddie Cochran, Marc Bolan, Suicide, Gene Vincent, David Bowie, and Little Richard, as well as ultra-violent movies like Scareface and the Terminator ...

Perhaps, I Suppose... CD music
$13.25 Compiled from two earlier EPs then further revamped into a cassette release, Extractioning is a brief but compelling look into Drekka (aka Michael Anderson)'s ability with a variety of approaches, from skeletal folk to guitar-derived ambience, chopped-up snippets of psalm singing to inspired cover versions. Starting with the glowering feedback loom/fragile acoustic guitar of "Extractioning," ...

Perhaps, I Suppose... album
$9.85 ROOTS PROPAGANDA has been played on NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered, and was the Global Hit for PRI's 'The World' program in August 2008!"From Delta blues to Afro-Cuban music to cumbia, The Paul Carlon Octet plays roots music from a jazz perspective. On Roots Propaganda (Deep Tone) the end result flows naturally. There's a contagious, warm vintage feel resonating from this recording that I found to be very inviting." -- Lissette Corsa, Global Groove Connection"This second octet album from saxophonist Paul Carlon pops with original compositions influenced by musics from around the world. Carlon and his players have succeeded in this attempt at "making roots music through a jazz lens," delivering 12 tracks that incorporate styles ranging from blues and big band ...
