 EXCELLENT HISTORY OF DEAN MARTIN'S CAREER
EXCELLENT SYNOPSIS OF DEAN MARTIN'S CAREER. I WISH THEY HAD THE SPACE TO ADD MORE. TOO BAD HIS TV SHOW'S AREN'T AVAILABLE(AS FAR AS I KNOW).

A great variety of TV clips that show the true talent and charm of Dean Martin. The DVD also includes black and white footage of songs during his early years. You will have many hours of listening and viewing enjoyment with this DVD!

Dino has been my favorite singer since before I started grade school. I hadn't seen the Dean Martin TV Show in over 35 years, and when I was done with this video I was in tears. This dvd takes some of the best moments of his entire series and puts in some old black and white footage with even older songs and brings back lots of memories of evenings spent with Dino and family members long since gone. You even get his friend and producer Greg Garrison telling personal stories about Dino's generosity, loyalty, and attitude toward life and work. When the Beatles had a stranglehold on the record charts for what seemed like forever back in the 60s, it was Dino who revamped Everybody Loves Somebody and knocked them out of first place. This video is a must-buy, must-have, must-see, must-be-enjoyed addition to every Dean Martin fan's collection. When nothing on tv or in my video collection seems to interest me, I take this one out!

Not all mellow, Houston Person's tribute to the softer side of jazz has its moments based on the laid-back timbre of his soul rather than a program consisting of only ballads. The tenor sax he wields certainly reflects the tradition established by Ben Webster in its soul-drenched tone, but is not as vocally pronounced or vibrato driven.
