"Na Na Be Like" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Female Rap Solo Performance.
A little more than two years after she released her sophomore album, Foxy Brown returns with a world of experiences to talk about on BROKEN SILENCE. This album is a testament to the life the hip-hop femme fatale has lived, and it's her most truthful work to date. From the vagaries of love to life's struggles to the business of music, Brown completely opens up, detailing every last secret that has haunted her career.
On "A Letter," she dedicates a verse to her mother and each of her brothers, apologizing for her mistakes. Then on "730," a bouncy track produced by Loafey, Foxy speaks directly to another woman who's trying to rain on her parade. But that doesn't mean that the entire album is about heartache, as reggae-influenced songs like "Tables Will Turn," featuring Baby Cham, and "Oh Yeah," featuring Spragga Benz, introduce a new wrinkle to Brown's rapping style. She also honors her roots by paying homage to her hometown Brooklyn on "BK Anthem."

broken silence don't really understand the long term beef between foxy and kim don't know who is trying to sound like who i must admit there are a few basic simararlities between them some stonger than others even if they are too proud to admit it.I like both as equal heavyweights of the game.
foxy you got the strength kim's released 'naked truth' where is Ill Na Na 2 The fever coming to the uk. Submitted by darkeye ((croydon, surrey, United Kingdom)) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A Classic This is maybe the BEST album to EVER come from a female MC.
Foxy Brown is Lil' Kims arch nemesis, but she overshines Kim in every single point! She rap better, got better lyrics and looks MUCH better! Classic songs from this album are Fallin', The Letter feat. Ron Isley, Run Dem & Na Na Be Like, where Fox spit in patois, a style wich Kim later have tried to copy. Broken Silence
$104.39 The Complete Motown Singles has been a dream project of Motown and soul fanatics for many years, ever since the first decade of Stax/Volt singles was compiled in an impressive nine-disc box set in 1991. Prior to that, no soul label had its output as thoroughly documented as that set -- there had been the Atlantic R&B box, which collected highlights, but it never attempted to capture the label's entire run -- and while The Complete Stax-Volt Singles 1959-1968 missed a B-side or two, it was an exceptional piece of music history, and pretty damn entertaining to boot. It was so good that it seemed like Motown would be a natural to receive the same treatment, since the label not only had a greater impact -- not just musically, but culturally -- but it had a much more diverse roster, which would make for an exciting set. The Complete Motown Singles might have seemed like a logical move to soul collectors and fanatics, but it remained in the realm of fantasy for many years because, as enticing as that set was, it was difficult to create. First, there was the perennial problem of Motown reissues, where the label is always inclined to recycle the familiar hits instead of dig deep into the vaults. That situation improved in the early '90s, after Universal acquired the catalog and ...
