Warped Tour: 2001 Compilation contains 26 tracks by bands on the tour's 2001 roster. A good number of these songs are previously unreleased, making this essential for fans of the genre, the tour, and the many punk bands here. Standout tracks include "Looking Back on Today by the Ataris, "Sleep on It" by the Living End, "Tables Have Turned" by Sum 41, and "So Many Ways" by New Found Glory. As good as some of these rockers are, it is nice to see a major-label compilation come chock-filled with new and rare songs, all for an affordable price. Awesome! The only criticism is that some of the non-punk touring bands are not represented here. ~ JT Griffith Warped: 2001 Tour Compilation Music | List Price | $9.98 (You save $0.99) | | Category | Rock/Pop Albums, Rock CDs, Alternative, Punk | | Label | Side One Dummy | | Orig Year | 2001 | | All Time Sales Rank | 75555 | | CD Universe Part number | 1881433 | | Catalog number | 71227 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Jun 19, 2001 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Producer | Chuck Johnson; AFI; Jim Siegel; Kill Your Idols; Lindsay Gravina; Matt Wallace; Mike Bardzik; Arik Victor; The Living End; Tsunami Bomb; Warren Fitzgerald; Brett Gurewitz; Dan Kelly | | Engineer | Donnell Cameron; Michael Wooding; Scott Exum; Neil Avron; Jim Siegel; Kris Roe; Ryan Greene; Thomas Johnson; Roger Tschann; Bradley Cook |

Warped: 2001 Tour Compilation album
$15.25 Truth be told, the Trembling Blue Stars routine was getting kind of stale by the release of Seven Autumn Flowers in 2004. With that album they crossed the line that divides reliable and predictable; no longer did the morose lyrics, melancholy vocals, minor chords and cheesy synths make a positive impression. Luckily for fans of the band, The Last Holy Writer is a comeback of sorts, certainly an improvement, and maybe even one of their finest records. How did they do it? It's hard ...

Warped: 2001 Tour Compilation music CDs
$12.95 Recorded between 1982 and 1988. Includes liner notes by Robert Forster.
BELLAVISTA TERRACE (1999) compiles tracks from five of the six pre-2000 Go-Betweens albums (the odd one out is 1982's SEND ME A LULLABY) and, given the fact that very nearly everything that the band recorded is equally good, the only problem that anyone could have is the omission of tracks having a personal resonance with the listener. For example, while one might want a Go-Be's retrospective to include, say, "Love Is a Sign," one would be hard pressed to think of which of the collected tracks ought to be removed in its favor.
All of the tracks here are notable in one way or another, but among the best are "Cattle and Cane," exploring memory and aging; "Bye Bye Pride," which poses a hopeful future for its narrator; and "Dive for Your Memory," which looks at redemption in loss. Hidden at the end of some copies of the disc is an ode to actress Lee Remick--from the band's first single--showing their funny side. Completists will need to find the limited-edition version of the album, which includes a second CD of 13 acoustic and electric tracks recorded "live in the studio" for a California radio station in the late 1980s.
Not quite as comprehensive or well-chosen as the earlier (and ...
