Basket Case Movie Review Average Rating: (4.1 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Nutty hilarity This film never fails to make me laugh. The acting is so bad that it made me laugh till I cried. The Claymation parts are the best, as is the very obvious wig and the gruesome murders. You'll see what I mean. It's dated, it's crappy but it's so funny. Belial and Duane - what more could you ask for? You must see this film just to look at the freaks who have names like this. Submitted by Shaz (Victoria, Australia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
CLASSIC HORROR FLICK!! "Basket Case" is definitely a classic horror flick! The storyline for "basket case" is one-of-a-kind... and that thing in the basket was creepy!! Good movie to own. Some cheesy FX and acting but still a great movie!! Submitted by JD (CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great Classic Horror It's a great classic horror movie to have in your collection. It's creepy, cooky and all that. The only thing wrong for those who don't remember this movie who think they do. This movie doesn't have the part where they go to the house of freaks. Not in this part. Submitted by josephine_tamayo76 (San Antonio, TX) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
bad picture....and bizarre this movie's picture was all mess up it keep jumping and freezing. Other than that the movie it self was just nutz. Talking about sick this is probably one of the worst movie I've ever seen. I actually remember seing the Basket Case 3, that was allright but it wasn't out yet so I decided to to get the original just to see it, but definetly not a very good movie. Basket Case DVD Carrying a mysterious wicker basket around with him, Duane Bradley arrives in Manhatten and checks into a sleazy Times Square hotel. What's in the basket, you ask? Why, Duane's hideously misshapen Siamese-twin brother, Belial, of course! Duane has hit the Big Apple with his beastly bro to wreak havoc on the surgeons who seperated them. With memorably gruesome scenes and some disturbing stop-motion animation, Frank Henenlotter's "Basket Case" is one of the most beloved, cheerfully demented cult classics of all time, and a midnight movie hit that inspired two sequels.

| | Evil Dead 1 & 2 DVDs (1979) Widescreen; Limited Edition; Gift Set
Basket Case review
$51.69 THE EVIL DEAD, director Sam Raimi's first film, has achieved legendary status since its 1982 release--and for good reason. Though perhaps not as widely seen as its two sequels, EVIL DEAD 2 and ARMY OF DARKNESS, THE EVIL DEAD is arguably the best of the three. It is the story of five college-age friends who travel to a cabin in rural Tennessee where they stumble upon the Book of the Dead, an ancient tome bound in human flesh and written in blood. After unwittingly awakening the unspeakable terrors described in the book, the friends, one by one, are transformed into the evil dead, except for Ash (Bruce Campbell). Left with no other way to survive than to dismember the living corpses of his sister, his girlfriend, and two friends, Ash resorts to desperate measures to get out alive. Shot on a shoestring budget, the film boasts some impressive camera work and extremely over-the-top gore effects as well as a sense of humor much more subtle than the tongue-in-cheek aesthetic of the two sequels. In THE EVIL DEAD 2, a slightly higher-budget sequel-remake of the original EVIL DEAD, a group of people (again headed by Ash) are trapped in a cabin while ancient evil lurks outside and threatens a fate worse than death. While fans often disagree on which of the two films ranks higher, it is safe to say that both have played large roles in shaping the horror genre.
