Bringer Of War: Burn The Promised Land CD music
$14.05 When members of very different sounding bands get together for an all-star project, one is never sure what to expect. The members of Scum have belonged to bands ranging from Emperor (guitarist Samoth and drummer Faust) to Turbonegro (bassist Happy Tom) to Amen (lead singer Casey Chaos) to Mindgrinder (guitarist Cosmocrator). Talk about a diverse lineup! Emperor is the essence of black metal, while Turbonegro is a delightfully trashy, decadent party band whose influences have ranged from Iggy Pop to Alice Cooper to Kiss. And Amen's caustic metal/punk assault doesn't sound anything like either Emperor or Turbonegro. So what does Scum sound like? Gospels for the Sick combines a strong appreciation ...

Bringer Of War: Burn The Promised Land CD music
$8.39 BiographyKronos was born Yves Verela on the island of Hispaniola (Haiti) to a work at home mother and an Optician father. Upon his birth, Kronos was taken to the heads of state (churches) to be baptised. By the age of 16, Kronos and his family had already migrated to the sunny shores of Miami Florida due to the increasingly violent civil unrest Haiti was experiencing under the Duvalier regime. He began rejecting the dogmatic teachings of the state early on, but kept the blessings afforded to him through his creative endeavors. Having been raised on classical music, European television, and traditional Hatian (African) arts, an unusual but formidable perspective of creative forces began taking root. Poetry, music, photography, literature, philosophy and various other disciplines help to further define and mature the nature of his work. He went on to receive a degree in History and later attended several institutes for both photography and graphic design. Kronos began hitting the Miami poetry and art scene in the mid 90’s. He was quickly welcomed for his unusual perspective and ability to turn any given moment into a litany of graphic typography, that seemingly warped the fabric of time. All the meanwhile sharpening his production skills behind the boards. This earned him the respect of both the underground hip-hop scene and the bourgeoning art scene that could be found at establishments such as “The House”, FeCuO, and open mics at Dokaru and Churchhill’s Theater Underground. Because of his gifted abilities as a poet and lyricists he was chosen by Miami New Times (www.miaminewtimes.com/bestof/award.php?award=16610as) ...
| | Reddy Teddy Loud & Clear CD (2008)
Bringer Of War: Burn The Promised Land music CDs
$15.19 The long awaited new CD “Loud and Clear” from Boston power pop rock legends REDDY TEDDY includes 10 newly-penned orginals. Introducing the full array of their songwriting talents, the new Reddy Teddy tunes tip a hat to the Merseybeat on “Is She The One”, and to Keith Richards guitar on “Pop Rock Redhead”. “Somewhere The River” evokes Nashville while the band exposes a root with Jerry Lee Lewis’s “Breathless”. Formed in the 1970’s, signed to Mercury Records, Reddy Teddy was a mainstay of the Boston/Cambridge Club Scene before a 1978 breakup. Known for their dynamic stage presence, vocal harmonies and taking it “beyond the three chords”, the band was an alter ego to their mates in Aerosmith as they emerged from the Boston scene. Raised in teen garage bands playing Stones, Who, Chuck Berry, Beatles, Kinks, Yardbirds, and Muddy Waters, the the band of four 20 year olds was discovered by Mercury A/R man and Bob Dylan buddy Paul Nelson (New York Dolls) and promptly ...
