Closed Captioned; Additional Footage; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; Director's Comments; DTS Sound Set in a tabloid world of murder and mayhem, 15 MINUTES is a fast-paced, electrifying thriller that takes on modern America's tawdry fascination with crime. Arson investigator Jordy Warsaw (Edward Burns) tags along with celebrity cop Eddie Flemming (Robert DeNiro) to investigate a double murder committed by a pair of Eastern European criminals, Emil and Oleg, who have come to America seeking money owed them by an old partner. As the crimes continue, the duo decide to escape prosecution by videotaping their crimes (Oleg dubs himself "Frank Capra")--an act that seems so crazy that it would allow them to plead insanity. With this out as a safeguard, they then plan to make millions by selling their footage to a sleazy journalist (Kelsey Grammar). But as the brutality of the crimes intensifies, Eddie and Jordy are pushed to the limits of the law and beyond in their search for justice.
Director John Herzfeld (2 DAYS IN THE VALLEY) uses lurid cinematography and extreme characters to make a scathing, yet boldly funny, point about guilt and responsibility in modern, media-obsessed America. Actor Karel Roden (Emil) is a leading Czech stage actor, while newcomer Oleg Taktarov (Oleg) is a former Ultimate Fighting Champion from Russia. Theatrical Release: March 9, 2001
15 Minutes Reviews: "...Exciting....Its savage indictment of the nexus involving media, crime and a voracious public is a cinematic statement difficult to ignore..."
-- Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times "...De Niro is utterly in his element here as a self-assured, celebrated Gothamite....[Roden] makes Emil into a scarily gleeful, quick-witted sociopath....[Theron provides] a bright cameo..."-- Todd McCarthy, Variety "...De Niro gives a commanding performance, and Edward Burns is appealing....Grammar has fun with his slimeball role..."
-- Stephen Farber, Movieline's Hollywood Life "...[The film] has a crowd-stopping impact....It's exhilarating to watch Mr. De Niro in 15 MINUTES, exulting in his pallor and workingman's verve....Mr. Herzfeld works with zest..."
-- Elvis Mitchell, New York Times "...It's fun to watch the notoriously press-shy de Niro preening for the cameras. He and Burns spar in style..."

$16.29 After a decade in abeyance, the courtly cannibal, Hannibal Lecter, returns to the screen, again played by Anthony Hopkins, under the direction of Ridley Scott. When F.B.I. Agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore) is blamed for a botched drug bust, her boss Paul Krendler (Ray Liotta) makes a media circus of her humiliation, which catches the attention of Lecter. Now a hardened veteran, she begins receiving letters from the twisted genius, who remains obsessed with her. Yet she's not the only one interested in drawing out the psychopath, now lecturing on the Renaissance in Florence. Italian detective Pazzi (Giancarlo Giannini) hopes to impress his young wife by nailing the reward for his capture, and wealthy pedophile Mason Verger (Gary Oldman) is eager to take revenge against the cannibal for leaving him with a hideously deformed face. But they're no match for Hannibal's coyly satanic ubiquity, which bewilders his quickly narcotized foes before he administers a punishment sufficiently grotesque to suit his sense of amusement. The odious Krendler, in particular, learns to use his gray matter for, perhaps, the first time in his life. However, all ...

$6.99 September 1942. The German Army has advanced to the gates of Stalingrad. The Russian Army holds on desperately. It is so poorly equipped that every pair of soldiers is given a single rifle--the second man only gets the weapon when the first is cut down. Trapped in no man's land between the opposing armies, Russian recruit Vassili Zaitsev (Jude Law) finally acquires a rifle from Political Officer Danilov (Joseph Fiennes). Danilov is astonished when Zaitsev picks off several German officers. On their return to the Russian lines, Danilov writes about Zaitsev's exploits in the army newspaper. Zaitsev is assigned to a sniper unit. He kills more German officers and, thanks to Danilov, becomes a hero. In retaliation, the Germans bring in sharpshooter Major König (Ed Harris) from Berlin--to hunt Zaitsev. The two ...

$7.89 Detroit cop Orin Byrd (Steven Seagal) plays by his own rules. He knows what's right and what's wrong, and like Clint Eastwood's Harry Callahan, he doesn't mind leaving a little destruction in his wake as long as he gets the job done. But after saving the vice president from a militia group in a high-tech bridge battle that features the requisite car explosions and plenty of fancy weaponry, he gets busted down to a low-rent neighborhood where he is soon playing crossing guard. But he has a nose for trouble, so when he begins to suspect that some of the cops in his department are getting down and dirty with drug kingpin Latrell Walker (DMX), he is ready to take action--even if he has to go it alone, against the orders of his commander (Jill Hennessy).
Cinematographer-turned-director Andrzej Bartkowiak (ROMEO MUST DIE) shows off his keen eye in EXIT WOUNDS as Seagal and DMX battle it out on the Detroit streets. The pounding hip-hop soundtrack (featuring a number of contributions from DMX and Drag-On, who also appears in the film) and fabulous stunts, keep ...
