Renaissance, featuring Annie Haslam, has had a cult following from their first album in the late 60's through Annie's la test recording in the year 2000. All of their albums have be en big catalog sellers throughout the years. This is the U.S. CD debut of the album. Originally released in 1977 with two different album covers, this is the original, very first cover. Digitally remastered. 5 tracks. 2001 reissue.
Renaissance: Anne Haslam (vocals); Jon Camp (acoustic guitar, bass, background vocals); Michael Dunford (acoustic guitar, background vocals); John Tout (keyboards, background vocals); Terrence Sullivan (drums, percussion, background vocals). By this time, the formula behind the group's sound was becoming predictable, as were many of the songs, although this record and its successor retained some interest for more than hard-core fans. ~ Bruce Eder

Renaissance Novella Songs Novella Music Review Average Rating: (4.6 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Don't judge an album by its cover An album you'll probably use to show off your stereo system, this one contains some of the best quality recordings you'll hear. The beautiful Spanish guitar solo on 'The Sisters' is worth the price alone. When I went around stereo stores in Memphis to audition various brands of speakers, I took this album. When we played it on the 6-foot tall Magnepans that I ended up with, everybody in the store came over and stood in awe. Annie's voice was never better. renaissance at the peak of their popularity novella, the first studio recording since ''scheherazade and other stories''is a top notch lp by renaissance.it has only 5 songs but they are all excellent!the lp starts out with ''can you hear me?'',a dreamy lush song that is over 13 minutes long.next comes a song with a spanish touch called ''the sisters''.then comes my all-time favorite renaissance song''midas man''.it definitely gives you a rush, with annie haslam dramatic vocals.then comes a romantic song called ''the captive heart''and last but not least is''touching once''(is so hard to keep). $10.39 Guns N' Roses: W. Axl Rose (vocals, piano, synthesizer, percussion, programming); Slash (acoustic & electric guitars, 6-string bass); Izzy Stradlin (guitar, percussion, background vocals); Dizzy Reed (piano, keyboards, background vocals); Duff McKagan (bass, background vocals); Matt Sorum (drums, background vocals); Steven Adler (drums). Otherwise known as the album Axl tried to kill, Guns n' Roses' Greatest Hits is essentially a last-ditch effort by Geffen to get some GNR product, any GNR product out on the shelves. And, really, who can blame them? When they originally planned to release the disc in time for Christmas 2003, they had been waiting 12 years for a new album of original material from Guns n' Roses, and despite a flurry of activity in the fall of 2002 -- Axl unveiling his Frankenband at the MTV Video Awards then took them out on a tour that imploded almost immediately -- the label was still waiting for the forever-delayed Chinese Democracy a year later, so they were set to rush it out for holiday sales. While it ...
