This 130 minute DVD features Moby as an artist, musician and personality. Included are a 90-minute Megamix and his special home movie "Give an Idiot a Camcorder," a hilarious road movie. There is also a 20 minute selection of songs live on the Jools Holland Show Later, as well as a special DVD-ROM section that allows the fan to re-mix 2 Moby songs. Techno guru Moby is largely responsible for getting techno music to be accepted by a mainstream pop audience. The diminutive, baldheaded vegan has crossed over with his addictive beats and visually impressive videos. PLAY is an audiovisual companion to his top-selling album, and features loads of goodies for the viewer. Along with 10 of the videos from PLAY (including 5 which were never released in the United States,) it contains a 90 mix of Moby's best remixes off of the album with corresponding visuals, a selection of live performances on THE JOOLS HOLLAND SHOW, and the Moby-directed comedic road movie, GIVE AN IDIOT A CAMCORDER. I currently own all Moby and Moby Grape C.D.s, But on DVD it adds double pleasure. As a Musician and entertainer he a 10 on the riecter scale. For soothing entertainment, this DVD is not to be missed!

I first heard him when he released Play, itwas really great, but after I saw him at ACA World Sound Festival in Acapulco, Mexico on 2000, anything was the same again, what a show!!!
And his videos r great too, there were many I didn't see yet until i got this great DVD.
If u like good music, get this and the 18 DVD too, also his albums, it's really one of the best producers like Norman Cook, i know Moby became a pop star, but he's still great.
U won't regret!

Displaying a knack for keeping his name in the public eye and his music in their ears, Moby once again follows the path blazed by his PLAY with b-sides reissue. This time around, 18 B SIDES ups the ante by also including a bonus DVD chock-a-block full of extras, including a complete live set from a 2003 Glastonbury show.
As for the CD side of the coin, the Connecticut native continues to traffic in the kind of compelling dance music that kicks off enough of an ethereal edge to blend in and soothe rather than disrupt a cool mood. "Nearer" brings together swirling synths and a gospel vocal that'll make you feel like you're waiting to meet a higher power, the gorgeous "Stay" comes off like a Velvet Underground-era Lou Reed outtake, and the lush "String Electro" features an unobtrusive beat gilded by an anonymous female vocal.
