 series is better
if they used the people from the show like sara and everyone eles it would have been better this movie sucks biggggggggggggggggggggggggg time there was no point in making this movie

 Not the series but good...
This movie is a lot better than people give it credit for. Not only are the big named stars awesome, but this is the movie that made me appreciate the talent of David Arquette. And to me the fact that the movie feels so dated now and is so distant from the TV Series in style makes this hilarious gem even more enjoyable these days.

 The Series is better
Even though this movie does feature some would-be great actors, the movie is less intriguing than the Series and Sarah Michelle Geller does a much better job as a Teenager/Vampire Slayer.

 Get "Slayed"
Underrated film that launched the career of Kirsty Swanson (still a hottie a decade later), as well as, the jumping point for the series. The witty dialogue is here (i.e. , "That's so five minutes ago!", "Get out of my facial!", etc.), making the film a bit more funnier than the series (Buffy changes from the valleygirl dim-bulb to the angst teenager she turns out to be in the series at the films end). Also keep your eyes peeled for David Arquette ("Scream" trilogy) as Pike's friend Benny, Hilary Swank ("Insomnia" and oscar winner for "Boys Don't Cry") as one of Buffy's friends, and Ben Affleck (yes,that Affleck. Oscar winner for "Good Will Hunting" and "Daredevil"). Happy Staking!
