About the Artist: Nita AdamsNita Adams began her musical career as a sophomore at J.H. Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina, singing in choir and ensemble. She was chosen by the musical director to sing solo's when the choir traveled and always had a nervous side when all eyes were on her. Nita landed a major role in the musical Carrousel as Nettie Fowler. The night of her first performance she was terrified, had swollen tonsils and couldn't speak a word, much less sing. Hot tea, honey and lemon juice came to the rescue. As she was maturing in the 'world' her husband took a part-time job as a DJ. Nita was a shy one to perform until she had a few "spirits". Soon she thought she was Dianna Ross, Carroll King, Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, and anybody you wanted her to be... you couldn't pry the microphone from her hands. About twenty years later, Nita became involved with Encore Theater of Elizabeth City, NC and was chosen for another lead role as a "Kit Kat Girl" and singer in the musical 'Cabaret'. After many years of the party life Nita was invited to a Premier Designs Jewelry Show. She was recovering from a back injury, and preferred staying home out of the rain. However she was persuaded to go and her life hasn't been the same. A few years later in 1996 Nita accepted Christ as her personal savior. Her walk, her talk, her whole life is different. At 42 years old Nita realized her voice is a gift from God. Nita is an annointed Christian soloist with a progressive style of music. Her songs are powerful messages of God's love with encouraging lyrics, and uplifting arrangements to many broken, hurting people everywhere. Nita's music is inspired by her faith and her love of Jesus Christ. Adam's says " I dont preach - I tell stories about my life, and my faith is the biggest part of my life."
