(7 Customer Reviews)
Arguably the hottest thing to come outta Philly since the Roots, Beanie Sigel had hip-hop heads from coast to coast bobbing along to the infectious beats and dark inner-city tales of his impressive debut, The Truth. But while emotional songs like "Mom Praying" make The Reason a solid enough follow-up, it essentially boils down to more of the same ol', same ol'. Sigel's familiar streetwise persona shines through on cuts that are more concerned with hustling and hanging out than glitz and glamour, but the repetitive tales of thug life and gangsterisms grow a bit redundant by album's end. The production is consistently banging, and songs like "Tales of a Hustla" and "Think It's a Game" (featuring Jay-Z) more than live up to the promise first glimpsed on The Truth. But ultimately, Sigel's sophomore effort isn't so much an artistic step forward as it is a step sideways. ~ Bret Love

Mack is Back: The Reason Why He Speaks The Truth Mack is one of the baddest lyricist around. On songs like "Gangsta, Gangsta" (feat. Kurupt), "I Don't Do Much" produced by Rick- Rock (producer of Jay-Z's Change The Game), Mack doesn't have to prove that he can hold his own! So please dont f*#! with him! "Still Got Love For You" (feat. Jay-Z) is like a part two of "Where Have You Been?" off of Jigga's Roc La Familia album is also tight! Mack shows us on this song as well as "Mom Praying" (feat. Scarface) that his life experiences is the reason why he speaks the truth.
To Rockafella Records: Keep droppin'them hits!!

$11.09 Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, this gifted tenor has been called, anointed and appointed to proclaim the "Good News", not only through the medium of music, but also through the spoken word of God.His preparation began early in life. It was at the tender age of 7 when Earnest began to feel the weight and gravity of ministry as a result of his great-grandmother often calling him to the foot of her bed to sing songs of praise that soothed her pain in her final days of battling sickness. Earnest recall being told, "You possess the same anointing David had, when he ministered, he refreshed Saul". It was apparent even at that age that the Lord had gifted him with something exceptional.Acquiring his musical training as a youth in church, he began to realize that music would play an important role in his life. By age 12, he found himself singing before thousands at the Church of God in Christ Convocation in Memphis, Tennessee. Shortly thereafter, he was sought out by the groundbreaking gospel pioneer, O'landa Draper who asked him to join his group, O'landa Draper and associates. His tenure with the group was short-lived,for he decided to join the United States Army. It was while serving on active duty at Fort Hood, Texas, that God confirmed and affirmed his call into the ministry. He quickly joined the Christian House Of Prayer under the leadership of Bishop Nathaniel Holsomb. During his time at Fort Hood, Earnest served faithfully for over a decade as one of the Praise Team Leaders and Assistant Director of the Rhema Choir. He was known worldwide as the "singing soldier". Using his gift at prayer breakfasts, wedding, funerals, concerts and recording sessions.Following his departure from military service, he continued to pursue his love for music. His pursuit opened doors for major appearances on such networks as the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and Black Entertainment Television (BET), including one of BET's top rated shows, Bobby Jones Gospel. His career wasn't just limited to that of singing, but he also found that he had a talent for acting as well.In his acting career he has made appearances in major stage plays such as, "Love The One You're With" and renowned playwright ...
