The film CRAZY/BEAUTIFUL stars two young talents (Kirsten Dunst, Jay Hernandez) bursting with energy and vitality. Accordingly, the eclectic, multi-cultural soundtrack is full of fresh, vibrant sounds. The disc kicks off with Mellow Man Ace's Spanish-language rapping on "Ten La Fe," segueing into Lily Frost's "Who Am I?" which wouldn't sound out of place on a LILITH FAIR compilation. An impressively diverse batch of stops are made along the way, everything from the wide-screen guitar-rock of Seven Mary Three's "Wait" to the arch alt-pop of Fastball's "This is Not My Life" and The Getaway People's funky "She Gave Me Love." While this disc may seem to be all over the map stylistically, it's the urgency of expression that provides a common thread throughout each of CRAZY/BEAUTIFUL's songs.

This is the Best
I loved the movie Crazy/Beautiful.. After I saw it I listened to the songs that I liked on it.. And then I got the sound track becuz it's such a great CD.. I love it..

This is one of the most diverse soundtrack I have ever heard. Most of the groups are more underground for exception of Fastball and 7 Mary 3. From mexican hip-hop by Delinquent Habits to happy pop rock by Maren Ord. If your looking for diverse this is the album to get.

Roger Corman's 1967 film THE TRIP was controversial at its release for its ambivalent portrayal of LSD experimentation, but in retrospect it's important both for its visual innovations and as a precursor to EASY RIDER (both films starrred Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda in differing hippie scenarios). In fact, THE TRIP's instrumental track "Flash, Bam, Pow" was used again in EASY RIDER. An appropriately contemporary rock band, the Electric Flag, was tapped to perform the former's soundtrack. The group contained some of the hottest players of the time, including members of the Blues Project and Bob Dylan's band.
Like the albums the Flag released under their own imprimatur, THE TRIP is a mix of fuzzed-up rock, soul, and blues, spiced with the occasional Pink Floyd-like sonic excursion into the nether realms. These pieces are mostly used to evoke Peter Fonda's state of mind while under the influence of LSD. Mike Bloomfield's stinging blues-rock guitar leads and Barry Goldberg's imaginative organ work are among the many individual delights here.
One of the greatest exploitation movies of all time, The Trip was the "vision" of Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson (who wrote the original script).
