A Wonderful Teaching Tool I watched this movie years ago with my kids and we were all enchanted by it. It shows the imagination of a child and uses symbolism to convey a message of hope and conquering fear. Children will love this movie because of the colorful characters and the exciting adventures of the main character. If you liked "The Page Master" you'll like this one, too. $10.29 Based on a story by STAR WARS creator George Lucas, WILLOW is director Ron Howard's fantasy world of medieval adventure. WILLOW stars Val Kilmer as Madmartigan, a swashbuckling warrior, and Warwick Davis as the title character. In a mythical kingdom, the evil sorceress Queen Bavmorda (Jean Marsh) plots to kill all infants so that the newborn princess, Elora, will never take over the throne. But a midwife sets the baby adrift in a river, and she is rescued by Willow, a farmer in Nelwyn, a peaceful village of trolls, fairies, and little folk. Willow and Madmartigan begin a quest to deliver the baby from evil while being chased by Queen Bavmorda's daughter, Sorsha (Joanne Whalley), sent to bring the baby back to Nockmaar. Director Howard benefited from his affiliation with George Lucas on the film--Lucas's company, Industrial Light and Magic, contributed the Oscar-nominated special effects. Lucas, the executive producer of WILLOW, went on to create a series of books based on the world of WILLOW, the SHADOW WAR series.

$6.89 When a laser-armed Department of Defense robot named Number 5 gets zapped by a lightning bolt, he "malfunctions" and starts spouting peace slogans and developing a human-like consciousness. Naturally, the newly pacifist machine wants out of the military and escapes. As a frantic search for the creature begins, Number 5 settles down in his new home, with a gentle young woman named Stephanie (Ally Sheedy), who has every intention of holding on to her find, teaching Number 5 about popular culture and other mysteries of life. Thoroughly convinced that the robot is alive, she develops a strong bond with the creature. In order to prevent his capture by the military--who view Number 5 as an armed-and-dangerous weapon--the pair must convince his inventor, a reclusive scientist named Newton Crosby (Steve Guttenberg), that he is truly alive and more than just a metal machine. The highly innovative robot created for director John Badham's film brings to mind other lovable science fiction icons such as E.T. and R2D2 from STAR WARS.

$7.45 Horror icon Bela Lugosi stars in a murder mystery that takes place on a Hollywood movie set. While filming a drive-by shooting in a movie called "The Death Kiss," leading man, Myles Brent, is discovered dead. The film's producer (played by Lugosi) believes the incident to be an accidental death, but then investigators discover a real .38 bullet at the crime scene. Because Brent was a ruthless playboy who broke many hearts, there are a number of possible suspects investigated during the course of the film. When the film's leading lady (Adrienne Ames), Brent's former wife, is accused of the killing, a screenwriter (David Manners) unravels the mystery to prove her innocence.

$10.29 Choreographer-turned-director Bob Fosse made his feature film debut with this glitzy screen version of the hit Broadway musical. The star of the show is Charity, a warm-hearted taxi-dancer who longs to "go straight" by marrying a decent guy and settling down to a career as a dental technician. But her trusting nature and dangerously naive outlook on life make the dance hall girl prey for a succession of opportunistic men. Used and abused and finally jilted at the altar, Charity's innocent spirit remains uncrushed, soaring out in the film's collection of lavishly choreographed song and dance routines. Songs include "Big Spender," "If My Friends Could See Me Now," and "Rhythm of Life."

$16.75 Young teenage girls begin dropping like flies all over the world. Just before they die they experience Near Death Happiness, a pre-death state where joy and bliss are at an apex. After death, the teens automatically become flesh-eating zombies called STACY. With the world in a frenzy due to this latest death and undead epidemic, families are being advised by the authorities to kill their daughters before they succumb to the new plague. They are also instructed to chop up and discard the corpses in garbage bags that will be retrieved by government officials. One military base in Japan is holding a few zombie teens to be tested by scientists. A depressed soldier, however, sets the young ladies free to roam the base and destroy all remaining lives in their way. Will STACY ever be controlled?
In the early 21st century, teenage girls between the ages of 15 and 17 begin dying all over the world. Shortly before they die, the girls succumb to NDH (Near Death Happiness), a "pre-death" state of absolute bliss and joy. Once dead, girls come back as a flesh-eating zombie nicknamed “Stacy”. The world is in chaos. Countries suffer from famine, war, and zero-population growth because of this teenage death epidemic. To keep the zombies from returning and eating innocent people, families are urged to kill their daughters before they are allowed to die by this mysterious disease (chopping them up and leaving them in garbage bags for govern-ment-sanctioned pick-up).
