Carryin On album
$7.59 Orchestra of the Munich Chamber Opera Care of Eberhardt Schoener arranged and conducted by Andrew Powell.
With TURN OF A FRIENDLY CARD, Alan Parsons has furthered his bid for mainstream success by combining his lush, synthesized art rock with memorable melodies. In fact, two of the album's songs--the infectious, pulsing "Games People Play" and the dreamily drifting "Time"-- became ...
| | Alan Parsons Stereotomy CD (1985) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
Carryin On CD music
$6.75 According to the Random House Dictionary, "stereotomy" is the technique of cutting solids, as stones, to specified forms and dimensions. On their album Stereotomy, The Alan Parsons Project paints a portrait of a man who has been cut into a specific shape according to the demands of society, as he thirsts after the "Limelight" but is consigned to "Urbania" and relies on "Beaujolais" to ease the pain. Most of the album is devoted to long, sweeping instrumental passages which makes the album one of the group's most ambitious records, but not one of their most accessible. ~ Daevid Jehnzen
It seems as though the Alan Parsons Project's conceptual grandeur began to lose its potency right around the mid-'80s. With Stereotomy, the message that Parsons is trying to reveal by way of his music begins to dissipate quickly, and the album is saved only somewhat by a couple of interesting instrumental pieces. ...

$5.99 The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to with a smile on your face. Each track offers at least one musical hook, whether it is the beauty of 'Human ...

| | Balzac Beyond The Darkness CD (2003)
Carryin On songs
$13.89 Balzac formed in Japan in the early '90s, creating a brand of horror movie-influenced punk rock that has surface similarities to the likes of Christian Death and the other goth-punk American bands of the mid-'80s, but is far more musically interesting. For one thing, although their gory subject matter runs along the same lines as the black metal and splattergore sub-subgenres, musically, the band has more in common with the Ramones or Generation X. Indeed, one of their most striking ...

Carryin On songs
$12.59 While it might not be the mainline shot of rock & roll that was their debut, the Sonic's second studio full-length, released in 1966, is a stellar album in its own right. BOOM, which alludes to both the band's regional origins and the inspiration for their name (the Pacific Northwest being a fabled testing ground for Boeing jets), contains raw garage-rock originals such as "Cinderella" and "The Hustler"; punked ...

| | Cages Bend Now I'm Lonely CD (2007)
Carryin On CD music
$17.09 Cages Bend is an exciting new acoustic Bluegrass band from the heart of the south, Nashville, Tennessee. Comprised of seasoned players and talented young musicians, the band is a unique blend of old and new. Stellar vocals and tasteful instrumental performances exemplify their original sound - from high energy, hard-driving Bluegrass to slow, deep meaningful ballads. With one foot in the present and the other in the past, Cages Bend is a band that will be on your "Must See" list as soon as you hear them.Sim Daley handles the banjo duties in the band. Born in England, Sim won first place at the renowned Edale Bluegrass Festival Banjo Contest. Sim owns and operates Daley's Instrument Co building instruments for the likes of Dan Tyminski (Alison Krauss and Union Station) and Adam Steffey (Mountain Heart). Renee 'Missy' Radeke-Daley is our fiddle player. She toured Belgium, Holland and France with Hee Haw TV celebrity Ronnie Stoneman & was included in the 70th anniversary of the Grand Ol' Opry alongside Bluegrass legends such as Bill Monroe, Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, The Whites, and Mark O'Conner. Tony Watt's guitar playing is award winning! First prize in the New England Flatpicking Championship in 2002. He has been a member of the band Meridian & in 2007 Tony found himself on stage at the Grand Ol' Opry along side Alecia Nugent, Carl Jackson, Troy Engle & Cristin Scott-Benson. Jenni Gardner's mandolin playing gave her the opportunity to open for several national touring acts including Ralph Stanley and Ricky Skaggs. Although busy with Bluegrass, she found the time to branch out into folk, swing and jazz. Jenni also has a good ear for writing songs. Daniel Hardin's bass playing has taken him to every major festival in the United States ! Playing for Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike there touring schedule took Daniel to the Bahamas twice, as well as a European tour of England, Scotland, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Cages Bend's debut CD release " Now I'm Lonely" comprises of 11 tracks, 9 of which are original songs. We are very proud of the new project & think it will a great addition to anyone's CD collection, but don't just take our word for it, see what people are saying about Cages bend & Now I'm Lonely :-"Making a record is all about choices. First, songs are selected through a long and arduous process of listening. The songs then need to be framed properly by tasteful arranging, and when the songs are arranged the musicians must choose to play in a way which suits each song and the recording as a whole. Cages Bend and their producer Stephen Mougin have shown in this debut CD a predisposition towards making good decisions. They've gathered material from a wide variety of writers - Robert Gately, Becky Buller, Randy Kohrs, Jon Weisberger , Tony Rackley, Stephen Mougin, and from within Cages Bend, Sim Daley and Jenni Lyn Gardner - and they've put these songs into stylish and appropriate instrumental and vocal settings. Cages Bend ...
