4 stars Excellent Movie from an Excellent Book
I loved the book Barbarians at the Gate. Of course, many great books gave rise to terrible movies (think of Bonfire of the Vanities). However this HBO production is terrific. It takes no liberties with the story and it catches the essence (good and bad - and often very funny) of the main characters. James Garner is terrific as Ross Johnson.

5 stars Paradise Found; Paradise Lost
This show is a must-see for any ex-corporate acct. or atty. It also shows the magnitude of hubris tht cn accompany most high level corporate executives. In tht regard, the average individual needs to always keep tht in the back of their mind, esp. when it comes to investing. A fair, more recent example is Jack Welch at GE. In some ways it is "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" with a not so perfect ending. E.W.D.
