The popular children's character comes to life. Two small-town American kids are thrust into a world of mayhem where He-Man battles to save the universe from the clutches of the evil Skeletor. He-Man battles the evil Skeletor for control of the universe. In order to save the day, our hero must, within 24 hours, find the cosmic key that will free the Sorceress, whom the wicked Skeletor has locked up. The key has somehow made it to Earth, where a musician and his girlfriend mistake it for a "new Japanese synthesizer" -- until they find themselves pursued by Skeletor's villainous henchman. Cheesy but Very Entertaining! First off unlike alot of people who are over critical, Yes this movie is incredibly cheesy, but it does have it's good points. Frank Langella was probably the best Skeletor ever! His overall performace was one of his best. Though it never lived up to the franchise, this is quite the fun movie to watch, if you can get past the cheesiness of it. And for such as some say "a crappy movie", the props are certainly selling for good money, and are quite rare. I personally liked this movie. I never expected a remake of the cartoon(we all know that would have been much worse than this film)
I give it 4 stars for just fun entertainment. Submitted by Jeremy (Ocala, Florida) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Remember this?? Remember this movie. I watched this as a kid and then totally forgot about it, then when looking through this store i found it and thought i would buy it as a laugh. This brought back so many memories and it was funny because i remembered nearly every scene. buy it for a laugh and watch it for the memories(and the laughs) Submitted by gpride (Australia) Was This Review Helpful? An unseen film that deserved more attention. There is no doubt that Masters Of The Universe has some flaws and mistakes. However the performances and clever work with the limited budget make the film enjoyable on a level that I wouldn't imagined. By the end of the film it's not too hard to realize that the film could of used a bigger budget and a better script but none of that matttered after experiencing Frank Langella as Skeletor. This was the first time I was rooting for the bad guy in some way. Not rooting for him to triumph but wanting him to stay on screen for just another scene. And when Skeletor takes that last plunge you sense that the movie better end quick because Frank Langella isn't on screen to save the day anymore, and the film does. I would look forward to seeing a remake by a Peter Jackson or a director that understands special effects. As long as Frank Langella would be back, then I will as well. great movie masters of the universe is one of the best movies of the late 80's. its star wars with better costumes and makeup plus skelator (frank langela) has some great lines if u pay attention. for example: sourceress: he-man is still alive, i can feel it. skeletor: really, how sencitive you are...can you feel..this?? (then he sucks the life out of her through his hand) frank langela's skeletor is my favorite movie character of all time...he's funny and evil at the same time. you allmost root for him to beat the good guys-who are the classic strong man(he-man) right hand man(man at arms) princess leah-like heroine (teala) smart guy (gwildor-RIP billy barty) plus james tolkan's (mr strickland from back to the future)usual character is here. also friends' courney cox and some guy play the "help us help you" characters. All in all a great movie with plenty of action and a lot of great quotes. A MUST SEE FOR FANS OF THE CARTOON, ANYONE WHO LIKES STAR WARS, OR IF YOUR JUST LOOKING FOR AN ALL AROUND GREAT MOVIE. i allready bought the dvd and i can't wait until it comes in the mail. Masters Of The Universe review
$14.85 Francis Ford Coppola's Vietnam epic, loosely based on the novel HEART OF DARKNESS by Joseph Conrad, tells the story of Captain Willard (Martin Sheen), a special agent sent into Cambodia to assassinate an errant American colonel (Marlon Brando). Willard is assigned to a navy patrol boat operated by Chief (Albert Hall) and three hapless soldiers (Frederic Forrest, Sam Bottoms, and Larry Fishburne). They are escorted on part of their journey by an air cavalry unit led by Lt. Colonel Kilgore (Robert Duvall), a gung-ho commander with a love of Wagner, surfing, and napalm. After witnessing a surreal USO show featuring Playboy playmates, and an anarchic battle with the Viet Cong at a bridge, Willard reaches Colonel Kurtz's compound. A crazed photojournalist and Kurtz groupie (Dennis Hopper) welcomes the crew, and Willard ...

Masters Of The Universe film
$9.65 Set in anarchic South America, THE ADVENTURERS is a thunderously charged 1970s political action-thriller. Bekim Fehmiu stars as Dax Xenos, a troubled playboy whose politico father was killed during a revolution. Searching for enlightenment, Xenos travels from woman to woman in an attempt to cope with his tumultuous childhood. After having an affair with the older and refined widow Deborah Hadley (Olivia de Havilland), he switches gears and falls for the young and sultry Sue Ann Daley (Candice Bergen). The two have a child, but when tragedy strikes and their son is killed, Xenos breaks down and leaves her, opting to seek revenge on his father's murderer, Rojo (Alan Badel).
Produced as an end note to the 1960s, THE ADVENTURERS showcases some of the more risqué social trends of the time on both a micro (infidelity, drug use, debauchery, lesbianism) and macro (totalitarianism) scale and then attempts to explain their origins. In one of his darker films, director Lewis Gilbert manages to save viewers from the pitch blackness of utter despair ...
