Raga Malkauns album for sale by Netai Bose was released Aug 28, 2001 on the India Archives label. Sitarist Netai is a disciple of Mushtaq Ali Khan, one of the foremost exponents of the Seniya sitar tradition, with a sitar tone reminiscent of the rudra bin & dhrupad-based playing style emphasizing raga architecture played with a spare elegance. Netai Recorded at Studio Vibrations, Calcutta, India on December 9, 1989. Personnel: Netai Bose (sitar); Samir Chatterjee (tabla).
