Chips from the Chocolate Fireball songs This recording by the Dukes,aka XTC,is just plain fun and entertaining. The problem with a lot of the music from the psychadelic era was that while they may have included the prerequisite sound effects or drug theme, the tunes themselves were just plain stupid.

Chips from the Chocolate Fireball album for sale This is an enjoyable album. XTC decides to pose as a 60's pop group, and the results are impressive. Many of the sounds and studio tricks you'd hear on an album from the late 60's are here.

Its not too long into the album where Andy Partridge screams MY LOVE EXPLODES! and you are into a weird magical carpet ride of manic pop thrills.

There's something fanciful in the lyrics from the tracks that used to comprise the Psonic Psunspot Album. Something reminiscent of an Alice in Wonderland scene.
