New York reporter Sue Charleton travels to Australia to meet and interview Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee, a man who runs a safari business and has just survived an attacked by a crocodile. After spending a few days touring the safari park, Sue invites Mick to come back with her to visit New York. How would the clash of cultures and different life style affect the Aussie bushman? How do things turn out when Sue falls for his charms? Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski), a reporter for Newsday, travels Down Under to write a feature on Australia and its people. She gets a tip to visit a free-spirited bush ranger who was attacked by a crocodile, which he then killed with his bare hands. So Sue heads into the red sands and squalid swamps of Northern Territory outback to a tiny fly-blown burg called Walkabout Creek, where she is greeted by Wally (John Meillon) of Never-Never Safaris. Wally takes her to the pub to meet the infamous Michael J. "Crocodile" "Mick" Dundee (Paul Hogan), who charms her with his swagger and grit. He offers to lead her though the bush, as she's "just a Sheila," to where he was attacked. This comment raises her city-girl feminist hackles and she strikes out alone. But when Mick saves her from the grasp of a toothy reptile, she ducks under his wing and into his heart, and invites him to return with her to New York City. Here in the sophisticated urban jungles of Manhattan, the bushman has finally met his match, as he endures New York streets of the 1980s, filled with drug dealers, muggers, transvestites, and prostitutes. Sue finally gets more than just a story as the "wonder from down under" rocks the Big Apple to its core. Hogan was an Australian TV star for over 10 years before he got his film premiere (he had a number of American commercial spots). He wrote this piece with his long-time television collaborator and fellow movie-novice Ken Shadie.
Film debut for director Peter Faiman, who previously also worked in Australian television.
The film grossed $175 million at the domestic box office and more than $325 million worldwide.
Co-star Linda Kozlowski, who had appeared with Dustin Hoffman in "Death of a Salesman," later married Hogan.

| | Ozzy Osbourne Ozzmosis CD (1995) Remastered
Crocodile Dundee video
$7.59 Let us all be thankful that Ozzy's retirement didn't stick. It supposedly lasted for three days, after which he got bored and started working on this project. Heavy, riff-intensive tunes, progressive song structures and a little psychedelia give OZZMOSIS a definite Sabbath flavor. Ozzy must have been in touch with whatever inspired early classics like PARANOID and MASTERS OF REALITY. Witness the extremely chunky "Thunder Underground," which can stand up next to "Sweet Leaf" and "Symptom Of The Universe" as an archetype of hard rock. The trippy guitar in "Ghost Behind My Eyes" and "Denial" are not some young Ozzy-wannabe going for a retro sound--this man was there, "Planet Caravan"ing.
Still, this heavy metal daddy in touch with his roots is also hip to the genre's latest sound. OZZMOSIS has a live, up-front feeling, thanks to producer Michael Beinhorn (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden). Zakk Wylde's huge, raw guitar also plays a major role. He provides scorching solos, lush textures and juicy fills with a muscular tone and minimal effects--the perfect complements to Osbourne's songwriting.
But more important than the raging guitars and the big sound is attitude. Ozzy's spunk has indeed rejected retirement. His songs still spew biting commentary at whoever will listen. "Your bulls**t culture licking can't stop the deathwatch ticking/You're only mortal ...
| | Ozzy Osbourne The Ozzman Cometh CD (2002)
Crocodile Dundee film
$9.69 THE OZZMAN COMETH is a single CD collection of hits, previously unavailable recordings and one new track. Previously included a limited edition second disc containing 2 of the 4 previously unavailable recordings as well as an interview with Ozzy Osbourne.
As if we needed another reason to believe that Ozzy Osbourne is God, along comes THE OZZMAN COMETH, a double CD retrospective of one of the most enduring and influential figures in heavy metal. Consisting mostly of his post-Black Sabbath solo work as well as a live version of "Paranoid," this collection's biggest asset is the so-called "basement tapes," never-before-heard rehearsal tapes of four classic Sabbath songs. Dating back to 1970, "Black Sabbath" and "War Pigs" are the songs that transformed a petty thief from Birmingham, England into the godfather of heavy metal.
But if Sabbath cemented his place in the rock 'n' roll canon, his solo work raised him to legendary status. Working with former Quiet Riot guitarist Randy Rhoads, Osbourne set the tone for the 80's metal revival with songs like "Crazy Train" and "Mr. ...
