||gem from an underappreciated band|
I owned this originally on vinyl,and thru the years it got lost. So to finally have this on cd is amazing. Which is the word I would use to describe the disc itself. This band had so many great songs, and great musicians; and they all appear on this masterfully sonic live cd. While the guitars often sound a bit too distant on some tracks; and the vocals on 'Jailbreak' slack a tad, it only adds to the honesty of the disc. 'Holy War', 'Baby Please Don't Go', 'Cold Sweat',there really is not a bummer in the bunch. It may not equal the energy of 'Live And Dangerous',when the band was in it's stride,but there are far better(and more)songs to naw on. And the performces from John Sykes,Gary Moore,and what would be Lynott's farewell to Lizzy,and music fans,makes this a must own to anyone who appreciates, a quality hard rock band, and a superb lyricist. Buy it now,and play it LOUD!

||Live..... Thin Lizzy|
I kept putting off buying this disc because of the reviews on this site were bad... but then I saw VH1's BBC Crown Jewels which had the band playing these songs listed on this disc. I was surprised by how good THIN LIZZY played and sounded (on TV) and ticked off by how negative the reviews were. If you think the sound is bootleg quality; it's just the opposite. Every song rocks... Lynott's singing and bass playing are outstanding... the guitars are clear. To those who think the bass overshadows the guitar, you may want to EQ or play these discs LOUD. Thin Lizzy were a great live band and this cd captures that sound.

||Another great Lizzy album|
I agree with the reviewer who said he was miffed by the negative reviews of this album. The sound quality stinks? Not on my stereo, it don't. I don't understand that criticism at all. The sound is great -- at least, for a live album -- and the playing is terrific. This was Lizzy's farewell tour, but they sound tight, energetic, and well-rehearsed. My one objection is that, of all of Lizzy's guitarists, John Sykes is my least favorite. I find his guitar work with Lizzy to be too manic and unfocused, like he's trying to cram every note ever invented into his 30 second solo. Oh well, it was the early 1980s, and speed ruled. Personally, I liked his playing a lot better when he was in Tygers of Pantang. I just don't think he's right for Lizzy. I much prefer Brian Robertson or Gary Moore. Even Snowy White was better suited to Lizzy, I think. That aside, though, this album is amazing. Buy without fear.

||Truly Great Live Album!!!|
This is one of my all time favourite live albums and I am by no means a live album fan. Yes the mix could be better but the live renditions of brilliant Lizzy songs like "Baby Please Don't Go" are incredible! The emotion and passion in Lynott's voice is undeniable. No true Lizzy fan could dislike this album. The guitar playing is phenominal and features just about every classic Thin Lizzy guitarist.R.I.P. Phillip you were a true Rocker.
