The five pierced, tattooed, spiky-haired bad boys that make up Adema are mad as hell and they're not going to take it anymore. Behind the tortured, angst-filled lyrics and dark, grinding song structures of his nu-metal band's debut there's obviously some serious strife and disaffection going on. Throughout ADEMA, the quintet uses savage drums, beastly guitars, and throat-rending vocals to display that inner turmoil. They've suffered for their art, and now the rest of the world is going to suffer. Of course, this kind of aural punishment is just what the doctor ordered for fans of the hard rock/heavy guitar sound practiced by Adema, so those who do time with the group's self-titled debut recording should find the experience to be quite a sweet sentence.

Adema Music Review Average Rating: (4.2 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Get Real Another band who wants to be Korn. For the most part they're pretty close...lead singer is related to Jonathan Davis, same amount of band members...but they don't have nearly the musical ability Korn has. This album sucks. They Rock You can't compare Adema to anyone else out there. The first time that you listen to this album you probably won't like it but trust me it will grow on you. Yes "Giving in" and "The Way You Like it" are going to be you favorite songs at first. But if you continue to llisten to the album you will notice that there are plunty of good songs on there like "Freaking out", "Close Friends", and "Pain inside". Fantastic Album One of the best in my collection. Mark's vocals really boom to words to you, with the backing of the band just turns this album into brilliance. "Giving In" hooked me with "They way you like it" just doubling their quality. A wicked buy for anyone. Submitted by Rogers (Southampton, UK) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Average Adema's self titled album is an average cd. I mean it does deliver a couple of good songs but not enough to save this album. I first heard the song "Giving In" on MTV and thought it was a pretty good song, so I decided to go buy the album. My first reaction was that it was okay nothing special. But it grows on you I guess. Key tracks are "Giving In", "Freaking Out", "The Way You like It", and "Close Friends". A fact about this band is the lead singer is either a cousin or brother to Korn's lead singer John Davis. So for your information I suggest listening to this album first before buying it. Submitted by AJAY204182 (East Hanover,NJ,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Adema album
$7.59 Initial pressings of DOWN TO EARTH will include regular audio tracks as well as multimedia computer files. The Enhanced portion includes live perfomance footage of Ozzy Osbourne performing with Randy Rhodes.
Six years of waiting for a new album had impatient Ozzy fans biting the heads off of live animals, but DOWN TO EARTH finally arrived. Whereas OZZMOSIS may have harkened back to Ozzy's early days of Black Sabbath, EARTH is unmistakably solo Ozzy. First single "Gets Me Through" is a radio-friendly thank you to his fans in which he exclaims "I'm not the anti-Christ or the iron man." The piano intro is reminiscent of "No More Tears." Piano is also featured in "Dreamer" and "Running Out Of Time," two of The Ozzman's most well crafted ballads. Ozzy maturing? Yes, but in a GOOD way.
Things get heavier on "No Easy ...

$8.99 Evanescence won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. FALLEN was nominated for Album Of The Year and for Best Rock Album. "Bring Me To Life" won for Best Hard Rock Performance. The song was also nominated for Best Rock Song.
Picture Tori Amos fronting Nickelback and you'll get an idea of the sound behind Evanescence, an Arkansas quartet whose introduction to the world came via the DAREDEVIL soundtrack. With its debut FALLEN, Evanescence further pushes the envelope on the aforementioned description, with frontwoman Amy Lee pouring her light-yet-strong vocals ...

Most modern hard rock bands miss the mark by over-emphasizing great riffs and neglecting the importance of complementary vocals. Luckily, such is not the case with Staind, who owe some nods to Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst for career guidance. Durst encouraged vocalist Aaron Lewis to sing more and scream less, which proved to be a key factor in the band's development. The appeal of Staind lies in the purity and fierce emotional integrity of their music, traits seldom seen in heavy rock since Suicidal Tendencies and Pantera ruled the roost.

$10.55 Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst has a growing stable of talent that is building a track record of amazing successes; first with the wildcard explosion of Staind and then with the signing of melodic alt-rockers Puddle Of Mudd to his Flawless label. | | My Dying Bride Like Gods Of The Sun CD (1997) Bonus Tracks; Digipak
Adema CD music
$10.05 Dismal and dark as usual, Like Gods of the Sun contains all the essential My Dying Bride characteristics. While there is nothing this record specifically lacks with regard to execution, there is nothing new or interesting about it either and, generally, the 1994 release is considered one of the band's lesser offerings. Hardly unlistenable, there are a few nice moments on this record, most notably during "A Kiss to Remember" and "For My Fallen Angel." Despite these musical highlights, My Dying Bride seems a little disinterested on Like Gods of the Sun. The bandmembers had honed their goth death-doom to an art for sure, but the group's best ideas had all been used by the time this record hit the streets in 1994. ...

Clichés have a way of being overused, but some of them are so darn accurate that it's hard not to come back to them again and again. One such cliché is, "The more things change, the more they stay the same." That cliché applies to politics and economics, and it most certainly ...
