Winning Combinations: The Allman Brothers & Lynyrd Skynyrd sounds like a diner breakfast combo, but the marriage of five songs each from these two cornerstones of Southern rock couldn't be more filling. This deluxe DualDisc features the original CD in remastered stereo on side 1 and, on the DVD side, the entire album in Advanced Resolution 5.1 Surround Sound along with bonus videos. 2004's primal and avant garde "Medulla" is an astonishing set composed almost entirely of vocal samples, with some pieces performed in Icelandic.
