Great live footage of Rory, if you weren't fortunate enough to have seen him tour back then, this is the next best thing.

just watch it, and know its the 70s its great..
I just say this watch it, and know it from the 1974. then you can relate to how great it is. Rory is great and all he did in this dvd is cool. to see him in his prime, and how he had the people rocking was great. plus he showed how he just loved playing and not how he lived as a star.
He loved to play and share how he was then.
I was so rocking when i saw this dvd..
it just is something you need to take the time to watch and realy enjoy.

I expected the best of the tour music, with plenty of shots of Rory mastering
his different instruments and good
audio.
What I got were snippets of him sweating on stage, couldn't tell what he was doing on his guitar, I don't care what they do back stage, or the shots of buildings, the sound was awful, in short a long commercial to other hopefully better audio
cd's. What a waste.

 The worst of the best
It is great to see the man in action, but not a good production, not even a fair one the sound track is poor video footage resembled 70’s Home video quality. The film starts with a closeup of Rory’s face and spends way too much precious time with this kind of thing rather than the overall man in action. Can’t imagine anyone taking the credit (or blame) for “producing” this film since it doesn’t seem there was any involved. Glad I got it? Sure. Since I think Rory Is one of the great guitarists of our time. Recommend it? Only if you want to see him in action.

The resurrected Buddha acquired the rights to much of Rory Gallagher's prime material in 1999. They began their reissue program with his first two albums, then they moved to what most hardcore fans would consider the crown jewel of the series, a double-disc collection of Gallagher's BBC sessions. Like most lead guitarists (at least those of his generation), he would often expand his music when playing live, turning in vibrant, exciting versions of his material, peppered with great guitar solos. Although it lacks the kinetic spark generated whenever a musician performs in front of a live audience, BBC Sessions is one of the finest live sets in his catalog, thanks to its crystalline fidelity, strong performances, and classy presentation. Certainly, this collection isn't for anyone that isn't already devoted to Gallagher, but for those who are, there's plenty to cherish here -- individual solos, impassioned vocals, and good liner notes.
